When I heard this quote, I focused more on the “expire” than the “inspire.” Thus, I interpreted the quote as focusing on how life is short and we must not waste our time and do something with the precious time we have on Earth. I focused on this because in my life, I often find myself with nothing to do and I end up doing meaningless activities to take up this time. The problem is that the meaningless activities allow time to pass by extremely fast and I end up wasting large chunks of time at a time.

I basically ignored the “aspire to inspire” part because I do not think my achievements need to be inspiring for others. This is because I believe worth comes from the inside so I do not need to worry about other people’s judgements or whether or not I am inspiring enough for them. As long as throughout my life, I am improving and achieving things I am proud of, I will be happy and consent with the way I lived my life.
