I have taken both AP micro and macro as well as intro to business and IB econ. These subjects are useful because I learn how to evaluate real world problems and I can use them to make better business decisions. History is useful for writing objective essays. Some classes such as grade 12 literature and art are not very useful for me.

To some extent I do find the subjects I learn at school useful but it is more general knowledge that everyone learns rather than developing a certain skill set. I think if I knew early on what I want to do as a career I would love to have more dedicated time towards learning that and more classes based on that rather than having to full-filled credits for a well rounded education. By my senior year I knew what type of subjects I like and would choose them so that I can major in a major that uses the skills from said classes in college. I think some of the subjects in school are useful, like math and language classes as it is helpful to understand basic phrases to use when traveling or working with foreigners in business. However I think some subjects like history, IT and science shouldn't be required for the last two years of school as not everyone will need to use those skills for their career. Subjects can help us decide what careers we are interested in as well as tell us our areas of strengths, weaknesses, and dislike. 

2. I think the subjects I can learn at school are useful not necessarily because of the knowledge ,but rather the practical skills attained within the course. However of course, not every course offers skills that will be useful to me.
