GOD PARENTS: required to attend the baptism ceremony. they agree to being responsible for the child's religious upbringing if their parents are unable to. 

BAPTISM: is something  about every christian does, the common factor of this is water, the water is symbolic to spiritual purification and cleansing. 

  when someone is baptized they are submerged into water or as a baby they also just pour water over the baby's face for the roman Catholics.

A WAKE: a period of mourning, and prayer.
