They turn the farming practice into a factory-type business plan, trying to get more for their money and have their products more desirable to us because they are cheaper. This leads us to be feeding poison to our bodies. They went through dozens of farms before finding one that would allow them inside the barn. They talked to one farmer who wanted to show them, but Tyson, a major meat company who "owned" this farm, came to talk to him, and he could no longer allow them inside.  Eventually, they talked to a woman who broke her contract with Tyson and was no longer under their control.

With the medicine costing a lot to keep you alive, you don't have extra money to spend on healthy food, so you go back to cheap fast foods with the salt and fat and it sends you into an endless cycle. These animals can live a natural healthy life before being harvested. The farmers have a more spiritual and cultural connection to the animals and value them for everything they are giving to us. Nature needs diversity and having animals which are native to the land prevents that centralization that society is bringing to agriculture. Small farmers don't have the money to fight this. It is against the law to criticize the products. The food industry and companies like Monsanto have more protections than other industries. For example, if you buy a burger from McDonalds, you are supporting the abuse of the cow that you are eating for your beef patty, the transportation, the corn industry with abused workers and farmers, the pesticides that then run into our waterways. This is what they use your dollar for. Plus, the workers at McDonalds are underpaid so you can have a burger for cheap a minute after you order it. The burger isn’t just there right away, you have to think about the process that got it there and if you support that too. There are people that can’t afford more, so we have to understand that, but also, everyone deserves better. So next time you want a burger, maybe go to the store and buy ground pork and fresh, local, organic lettuce and tomatoes and go home and enjoy it with your family.
