The passage of time brings loss, as depicted in my piece with the distorted clock and  tulips. From the time of my grandpa having a stroke and losing what he once was to the medical issues he had, to the time of his death, time felt different and warped, hence the misshapen clock. The hands of the clock are tulips, which come from my grandparents last name, Latulippe, and were important to my family as a whole. The day of his burial we placed tulips into his grave and the moment really stuck in my head while creating my piece. The experience as a whole is what brought up another point in my piece, the passage of time leading to the death of those I love, and my fear of that. As I saw for my grandpa, he lost himself after having his stroke, and that made me realize how scary it would be for that to happen to my own parents, and see them become someone other than themselves.
