Traditionally, women's dress Shuar is the " karachi " and the men wore a skirt called " itip " of purple, red , black and white color, it is dyed with vegetables. Before , they wore the kamush , made with crushed tree bark.

Festivals and Rites

• The Chonta Festival , is held each year in August for the prosperity achieved during this time , as to planting, harvesting and the life cycle of individuals.

• The Rite of Sacred Waterfall : It festival has a deep significance in the Shuar people , through this rite request to the Supreme Arutam , to grant them power , positive energy for future survival.
