Why is it an issue that the ocean levels are rising? why is it a problem that the water is full of plastic and waste? Water levels rising creates stress for coastal eco systems, These places provide protection from storms, homes for wild life and are important for commercial fisheries. Fish, turtles, seabirds and other marine animals can get tangled in the plastic that you throw in the ocean. This causes suffocation, starvation and drowning. It's is beyond common for animals like turtles to try and eat things you may not think is an issue such as plastic bags, and plastic sheeting.

There are several things to do instead of throwing out all your bottles and caps, plastic bags and cans. Bottles and cans can be brought to your local recycling facility where they will be properly sorted and recycled properly. There are many companies who take your used bottle caps and recycle them into new useful everyday items. Do your part recycle smarter

Long term changes in temperature and weather patterns are referred to as climate change. While these changes may be organic, human activity has been the primary cause of climate change since the 1800s. This is mainly because burning fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and gas produces gases that trap heat.

climate change is happening all around the world but especially in the arctic ocean because the Arctic Ocean's sea ice cover is estimated to continue declining, and if current predictions come true, the Arctic Ocean will most likely be almost ice-free by late summer. This is anticipated to happen before the middle of the century.
