Once someone is kind to another person it moves on from that person to the next. I think that you should be kind because you could be saving a life. Being kind and giving to someone can be hard but you should try because  you are changing your life and someone else's life. It is important to be kind because you never know what could be going on in someones life and you shouldn't make assumptions that they are just moody or cranky or whatever. In the video he talked about how this one mental patient would always just be in this crazy position and he had been for 52 years but when this young student came over and was kind, it changed everything.  I think the idea of kindness relates to everyone is creating in the divine image because it is saying that everyone is equal and everyone should be treated the same and kindly. I also feel that kindness is really important like how in the second video we saw kindness is kind of a long line. It can start out as just a little easy kind deed and can escalate when the people get in the being kind spirit. I also feel that without kindness the world wouldn't work the way it is suppose to. The second video also showed that just from one easy thing like picking up a kids book the line ended up feeding a homeless man, someone got their phone back, someone got a hundred dollar tip, and at the end it went all the way back to the guy who started it. While being kind and helpful isn't the first thing we think to do, it can do a lot more. As the video said, kind people, who help and give to others, are more liked and can be more successful, because often times, people will return the favor. Kindness grows out from kind acts, and one act can lead to another, as shown in the second video, and another and so on.
Another thought on why we need to be kind is because of the principle that all human beings are created in the image of G-d. I have to say, had I been in that situation, I would have put in my earbuds and cranked up the volume. The way the boy was so selfless, weather or not it was disgusting, was very admirable. A grown adult would have never done that, nor would a child much older. We are taught to share, but at the same time, "stranger danger." Just this Sunday, I was on the receiving end of a similar situation. I was at a store, and the woman in front of me, who had just finished ringing up her purchase turned around and offered me her coupon. On a separate occasion, A young boy in a stroller threw his toy out, unbeknownst to the unsuspecting mom. I happened to be walking behind them, and picked up the toy and returned it to the mom, who was extremely grateful.
