There have been reports from the IT team in regards to some recent cybersecurity threats.

Those issues are phishing emails being open by the users and some users having unsecure passwords.

Please make sure you check emails before opening them via email scanners or just inspect them manually. Also generate secure passwords according to the secure password protocols or use secure password generators with password managers.

We have seen some strange things happening with our email. It looks like someone might be trying to trick us with phishing emails. Some of you might have clicked on links, which could cause problems for our computers.

·         Be careful with emails from people you do not know.

·         Do not click on links or open attachments that seem weird.

·         If you think your password is not strong, please change it.

The IT team might make some changes, to our systems soon to make them safer. We will let you know when this happens. If you see anything with your account or device, please tell IT right away.

I have discovered cyber issues that have recently been occurring, IT have noticed problems with both emails and passwords. Staff have interacted with certain emails that have proposed a risk to our systems.

Please ensure that you triple check emails and be careful that they are legitimate as these may be suspicious emails. I am enforcing you all to change your password to ensure it is secure enough for any future issues as well as set up password managers to generate secure passwords that meet a certain password criteria. We will be updating our systems soon to ensure data is protected.
