In "The Pedestrian" everyone inside is on their TVs paying close attention to the channels and what they have to say, this relates to "The Veldt" because they are both all attached to the electronics that they have. Yes that is kind of the parents fault for just sticking them into the nursery and letting them be, but this can relate to now in today's world by when COVID was around and everyone was on online and inside.
