She thinks she is starting to when she adopts a kitten from her. But theres a problem, her family can't afford a cat. Also a cat could damage their instruments and rip up their sheet music. To make sure stays friends with Holly, Mary must find a way to keep the kitten a secret from her family. It won't be easy, especially when Eldest Brother thinks he hears a squeak. The family gets even more suspicious when Forth Brother keeps playing the same tune in the basement with Mary at every mealtime. In the end somebody else wants to adopt the kitten.
