Central theory is different from basic content. Generally speaking, science that is studied and grasped from a large and holistic perspective is called macro science, and this research method is called macro method. The science of studying and mastering small and partial aspects is usually called micro science, and this research method is called micro method.

1. In which sense Conflict Theories are similar to Functionalism?

Both of them focus on the structure of the society ,using the model to expain how society works, and how the elements in it function accordingly.
/ One similarity between the approaches of functionalism and conflict theory is scope. Both of these sociological viewpoints can be described as macro-sociological because they primarily deal with societal institutions and the means through which they are shaped rather than individual interactions

2. What are the critical differences between Conflict Theories and Functionalism?

Their attitudes to the consensus of society, conflict theory emphasis that the potential conflict is always present

The main difference between functionalism and conflict theory is that the functionalism states that each aspect of a society serves a function and are necessary for the survival of that society while the conflict theory states that a society is in perpetual class conflict due to the limitation and the unequal distribution of resources. This inequality between the social classes eventually triggers the social change in a society. This is the main difference between Functionalism and Conflict Theory.

3. Marx ‘s ideas are regarded as a critical source for Conflict theories. Why?

Because the principle of Marx's theory is also related to inequality, such as the conflict between capitalism and the working class, and the conflict between the rich and the poor.

4. What is the focus of Feminism? Explain.

Feminism is a desire for equality between the sexes and organized activity represents women's rights and interests.

5.

1. They both highlight social structures. They have a pursuit of interests and agree that conflict is likely to cause disorder and social changes.

2. Conflict theory and the view that social change is the norm in society. They do not agree with consensus which functionalists pursue. They believe it is inevitable to have conflicts on societies because of competition for resources and the inequality between the social class. However, functionalism holds that society should maintain a unified whole. They claim that conflicts are temporary and society as a whole will result in stability.

3. His ideas had an influence on crucial theories such as Feminism. The gender inequality is a form of conflict thoery.

4. Gender inequality. Feminists focus on the micro world such as researching domestic issues and private spheres of life. They also focus on 'malestream' assumptions such as the language implies discrimination. In macro level, they study the inequality in societies such as education, politics, and laws.

5. Micro level more emphasises in individuals' behaviours and they oppose to structialised societies and try to change or resist for the structialised behaviours. For example, etnic minority in South Africa claiming anti-discrimination or holding demonstration regarding it in the period of Apartheid can be distinctive activities.
On the other hand, in macro-level view, society as a whole is more crucial than the total individuals and they are all interconnected. So, individuals are regarded as passive. For example, some countries would have more prejudice of judgement on minor ethnicity groups.
