Not just for Green flags etc. but as an example of what they have been learning about in the class. Doesn't even have to be in person anymore - can be virtually, and this could increase the amount of times/people they meet. A list of people/places etc. that could offer this would be super (Something like the lists from Women in Stem Ireland).

2) Promotion / creation of resources that help them Teachers to link together and cover a number of LO or curriculum points within one activity or theme (i.e. Growing and cooking food with a link to sustainability would help students visit a number of LOs at JC level across STEM subjects and non-stem subjects in a few classes, rather than tackling them with individual experiments).

The education system seems to respond much better to peer to peer recommendations or endorsement.  As these centres have already gone though an accreditation process and operate as businesses in their own right it would not be too much of a leap for  Dept. of Education to promote STEM providers to schools. 

2) There is a wealth of knowledge and expertise within the DPSM network. This skillset may at times go unnoticed as it operates outside the "formal" education system. An idea would be to highlight STEM providers in a similar format used by Heritage in Schools or Artists in Schools.
