Overview of my experience

Last Monday night’s faculty recital showcased Steven Harlos (pianist), Eugene Osadchy (cellist), and John Scott (clarinetist). I decided to go to the recital with no context and no expectations in order to fully embrace the “in the moment” experience. I had, prior to Monday night, never attended a “art” styled concert. Also, I have rarely listened to jazz or classical music outside of a music class, so Monday night’s recital was a very unique experience. After attending the recital I have found a new respect for the art. I loved the piece "Benniana" and I also enjoyed the soothing and harmonizing sounds of the clarinet, piano and cello. Overall, I appreciated the recital for what is was, and would definitely attend another one if given the opportunity.
In this padlet i have provided links to my favorite pieces of the evening as well as the program notes.

I decided to include this quote because as I watched each piece being played I noticed that the music brought joy to the musicians. I noticed them sway and become one with the music. At the end of the recital when the audience clapped you could tell they were happy.
