I chose skinny because Bud was a very thin boy because he barely ate, and food was very hard to get for Bud. I chose smart because he usally out smarts people and he knew his facts. I chose independent because bud likes to do stuff himself and travels alone. I chose liar because Bud always lies to get out of situations and he even has a book lies. I also chose fighter beacuse Bud always fought no matter what situation he was in.

     These 5 words I chose were about Bud’s character traits. Bud does not want to be called buddy beacuse Bud thinks buddy is a pets name. Bud knows when and when not to trust adults from his book of “How To Live a Better Life Without Rules”

The main part of the book where action starts is when Bud is at the Amos House and he has to escape which the author really makes you feel like your with Bud during the escape because he adds a lot of detail that helps you see it happen. The characters are like your everyday kids and I know someone like Bud, his name is Jaden and he doesn’t give give up ever. One book that is similar to Bud Not Buddy that i’ve read is Bink and Gollie becauses there both very adventurous. The most interesting part of this book is when Delza Malone kisses Bud and made me think if she was going to go on the adventure with bud too.

     I would recommend this book to a friend because it’s very informative about the Great Depression and it has lot’s of adventure. I give Bud Not Buddy a thumbs up because not only did i learn about the Great Depression more but it also had a great storyline. Bud Not Buddy is a great book and I know i will read it again someday.
