One of my former teachers used the QR codes as a scavenger hunt. Students had to work together to find all of the hidden codes. They each had a clue on them that helped the students solve the problem that led into the lesson for that day.

QR codes can be used to help students access information quick, cut down the steps to find the site, and ensure that all students work on the same material. The video below incorporates one way this can be used.

I think that QR codes could be a good resource for parents. You could just send an image on a sheet of paper home with the student if the parent wants to see how the child is doing in class instead of having to type the link into a browser.

The most fun idea I had was to create a live webquest through the classroom using the codes. Put the codes around the room in sections and have the students work in a group to find the codes. Once they find the code, they complete the activity or assignment the link took them too and then they could more on to the next. It gets students working together and moving around. It can be a great way to make learning fun.

If a student is struggling and needs extra time viewing content, they can scan this code. This way other students are not being held back, but everyone gets a fair opportunity to learn to the full extent.
https://youtu.be/Xe1o5JDwp2k

I think that QR codes can be used in several different ways. One way that I would like to implement in my classroom is creating a form of blackboard for each student with the use of a QR code. Parents would be able to check on their child and email the teacher from that point if they had any more questions.

I think the use of QR codes is a great way to save paper. I think it would be great to make QR codes for all the forms that need to go to the parents. The teacher can put the QR code to the forms online where the parents have all time access to the QR codes. The teacher could still send home a copy of the form, but the teacher could make a QR code for the form and put it online so the parents can get another copy of the forms. This would be great on both the teacher and parent end because the teacher isn't having to make as many copies and the parent always has access to the forms.
