         <title>Work 1:1 with the student swinging the ball in a horizontal circle. Have her differentiate between force and velocity vectors by asking her to first draw the direction of the motion first and then to identify where a force is being applied (tension in string). Finally, ask her to draw this force (Fc).</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think a majority of the students are close enough to understanding that we could move on. I would take those individual students aside as the others are working on a worksheet and start out by having them draw an object in freefall. If they can conceptualize that then we can move into a centripetal motion and see if they can conceptualize it with the ball on a string. I think that is the easiest of these thought experiments to use for this concept.</div>]]></description>
