BUILDING YOUTH SKILLS AND KNOW-HOW FOR A BIO-BASED REGIONAL ECONOMY ACROSS THE DANUBE WATERSHED
At the Waterlution Innovation Lab and with the support of the Media Education Centre, we aim to interact and build opportunities with each day. We have a dream: clean and blue Danube from the Black mountain to the Black sea. The objective is to achieve breakthrough, system-shifting innovations through the transformation of individual and
collective patterns of seeing, thinking, and acting. Building a local,
regional and global network, and enhancing skills to be transformative
water leaders, is also part of the goal. Facilitation method is Open Space Technology. We just started a wonderful virtual training and there are two more days left to participate, the Phase II of the Project that includes implementation of the gathered knowledge, and a community to last.

I work on menstrual matters, menstrual education, through a digital platform it's a community based organization works globally. My main aim is to end period shaming and stigmas associated with it due to which women are facing so much negative things from ages. My main aim to collaborate globally and do seminars or Webinars, workshops so more and more period discussion will end period shaming globally. Also I have wrote a short story book related to periods awareness, main purpose of writing that book is to create awareness among children of all ages, so they will understand that periods are as normal as any other body function so they don't laugh on girls whenever they have their periods in public, in Schools. Other than that I am working on women empowerment to end body shaming and beauty standards that ruin women lives to meet such standards. It's possible if awareness and enough amount of education is given to every girl our their. A long journey but it's not impossible. More and more serious collaborations will help me and other women to end period shaming by 2030 as well as period poverty. I also submit my commitments at GEF Paris, where I demand to make sanitary products free or at least tax free, and more women in leadership positions will help women to be confident. In future I will be making a proper application for period awareness where all products will be available, reading materials and other related things in one go so everyone will have access to it.
Links:
https://www.linkedin.com/in/rameesa-khan-7543b41b8
https://instagram.com/menstrualtalk?utm_medium=copy_link
Book link:
https://www.storyjumper.com/book/read/109799536/60b8ed80d6005

My grandparents have often told me about a so-called ”Kin La Belle”, one of the most beautiful African capitals back in the day. What a vibrant city it was! That Kinshasa was not only music and dance, but also cleanliness and care. But everything has changed since. Once, I remember feeling humiliated when Kinshasa was referred to as the dirtiest capital in the world in the famous French game show “Questions pour un Champion”. I could hear my Grandpa’s spirit sighing : “We have failed Kin La Belle! ”.

Years away, I started wondering how I could participate in the change. I was looking for an organization in which I could volunteer perhaps as a street cleaner, but there were no concrete results. Living in a country where job-shaming is widespread, I had already expected this outcome. Thereafter, I began to write the project of the youth non-profit I finally launched in 2020. I raised money in order to provide free materials and refreshments to young people eager to clean their respective streets during the holidays. Our national network ”Babongisi Ya Congo”(Congo’s Improvers) focuses on the youth. The population of the DR Congo being chiefly composed of youngsters, we assume that if we manage to refine the youth’s habits, we can hope for a cleaner country in the future.

Babongisi Ya Congo has helped me mature. Having always been a stay-at-home, I did not know how to talk to strangers in the street, little did I know about the brand new slangs. I learned to convince people who would normally never work for free or show up in the streets doing an “under-job”, to lead folks of my age and over with sympathy and authority. The act of regularly cleaning dirt has also increased my sensibility to imperfections and my attention to details. Moreover, I belong to a new family of lovely change-makers that will probably extend to Ivory Coast, Uganda and Zimbabwe thanks to my friends from Yale Young African Scholars 2020.

I've been working (as a volunteer) on a certain project called "Positive Peace for Ethiopia" initially this idea came from the youth around Addis Ababa, gathered to do some voluntary activities like Green Legacy & Blood Donation but this wasn't enough for us, so we decide to do more engaging activities like training youngsters basically on the areas of how to ensure and promote sustainable & positive peace in a community level, how to develop voluntary community service and its importance and how to become an active citizen. to go with this, becoming a certified civic society organization (CSO) was the primary task fortunately we are now officially registered as a legal CSO which has 7 Board members (including me), and with additional more than 123 active members and we are ready to go!
you can reach me out on:-
* https://www.linkedin.com/in/chalacheworku
* https://www.instagram.com/chalacheworku

I always felt like the German education system would be a bit outdated. Also, many Experts agree on this. While it mostly focuses on learning long list of useless fact without contextualizing them enough or explaining, why they are important to learn, I contributes little to form those interdisciplinary thinking and empathic team players the world pf today needs. Also, it does not at all empower to act and to engage oneself in society.
But since education is a hot topic in Germany, politics is not willing to do something. Consequently, civil society and engaged change makers are needed. A movement is needed, which starts with constructive exchange on how to best Archive the common goal.

Becoming an educated person never was an easy choice for me, moreover, learning a foreign language neither. The story behind my learning is unbearable and I have lost many things to study and learn. To start going to school from a remote village was impossible; however, I had chosen not to be a farmer as my father was, so I decide to leave everything behind: my family, my childhood and everything that a simple life could have for me. I had decided to become myself in a hardworking student, patiently who had not seen the beauty of life and accepted to become educated.

I have been so far from my family for too many years , and still I am trying hard to learn something new in my life, I am 25 years old and I started my journey when I was 9 years old. I went to my neighborhood, country to register and start my primary study. I was far from my family and I thought, of course, that in the future I would be an educated man who would have lots of opportunities and would be able to help my family.

Now, I have the privilege of knowledge and I am able to use an international Language, and speak to the world. Although, the sad part is that still I am not able to help my family and get out of the heavy duty they always carry on their shoulders.

It was my turn to work hard and prepare the quiet life for them. Suddenly, Afghanistan Government collapsed by the Taliban hands and I will not able to go back to my own country anymore, where I grew up. What is more, I will not able to see my family again. The only chance that I have is, to work hard to find a way to carry them out of Afghanistan and create an environment for them to live peacefully, because they deserve it. They tolerate pains and griefs during their lives, but how can I do? It is a hard question that I don’t know the answer.

When I became one of the Ubuntu United Nation Participant, after the first meeting I wrote a letter to all participants, and asked them for help. Help for my country and every single person who is suffering in Afghanistan during these days, help for ladies and girls who are not able to go to school anymore, Help for my family and all those men who are farmer in Afghanistan and they are obliged to leave their lands and their lives. Because every day The Taliban member forced them to escape from their own lands. I have asked every member to be my voice and by writing a letter to their country Foreign Ministers asking them to not accept the Taliban as future leader of Afghanistan. Because they violate human's rights, especially women and turning ordinary people lives in hell.

I would like to ask it here once again from everyone who are reading my story. Please, join me and spread my voice, making it louder to the world. We are the young leaders of the future and we have the power to change the situation for many people.

You can find me by contacting in this Email Address: sarwarir313@gmail.com and here is my social Facebook account: https://www.facebook.com/rohullah.sarwari.3

or you can see my page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100055468804119

Country Coordinator, African Women Honors & Empowerment in Malawi.

My name is Rudo Chikondi Mello and I am 30 years old. I come from Malawi. I work as a full time Projects Officer at Malawi Revenue Authority as well as a Country Coordinator (Volunteer) at AWHE Malawi. As Civil Society Activist and women's rights advocate, I believe that making the world a better place begins with realising that unless all people are treated equally regardless of their gender, equality may never be attained. It is because of this reason that I advocate for gender equality. What really drives me is that I want to be able to see the change I want. I envision a world where social justice doesn’t seem like it’s too far-fetched. Knowing that making the world a better place starts with me. That means working towards changing my community will translate into changing my district and then my country and this will consequently bring an impact in the global community. I believe that as young people, when we see a societal issue, the first question we should ask ourselves should be how can I be part of the solution? If I don’t do the right thing, who will? I believe it is always very important to remember that we do not have the luxury to postpone change. My usual example is the Sustainable Development Goals, I mean, we have SDGs to attain and if we're being honest, time's not on our side. We cannot say let’s focus on quality education first and then gender equality next year because one affects the other and they all require urgent action, that’s where we come in, to fill the gaps. It’s a shared prosperity that we desire and we don’t have the luxury of time on our hands.

Please take a look at two of the papers I wrote on Women's Political Participation (Comparative study on Malawi & Colombia) and the other one discusses Gender Mainstreaming as a key factor in Sustainable Project Management:
https://muep.mau.se/handle/2043/32406
https://mah.academia.edu/RudoMello

And here are links to some of my work at AWHE Malawi:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vD_14s4r7zVQMLWFCBcALB5J_TjH6C3t/view?usp=sharing

So, every work I do is to help black young people to have access to good job opportunities.

Althought people say Brazil is a racial democracy, that's not true. Our history is full of racist (and sexist) episodies and black people are always the victims.
Because of our slavery history and the few thing that have been done to integrate black people appropriately in brazilian society, my people don't really have access to good and fair job opportunities.

So, my work is to raise awareness to this issue and develop actions that can really change this reality. We have lots of researches and data that show how diversity and inclusion are good for business and for the economy.

I know very well that peace and its role in the life of society, especially in the psychological and educational field, and how important it is for an individual to live in a society free of wars and problems, which will increase his ability to produce, as peace has a long-term value at the level of civilizations and individuals; As the existence of peace contributes to the continuity of different civilizations, and there are many cultures that disappeared after their emergence for a period and were forgotten due to the wars or conflicts in their regions and their demise. I will find a speaker on this issue in Sudanese society. I know many young people who have influenced peace in their lives in a remarkable and feasible way. I chose the idea of peace because peace is one of the things and values that help a person to achieve this goal, away from wars and armed conflicts that dehumanize people due to insecurity and the spread of chaos. Peace and peace for the future of youth
Young people are the men of the future in all countries of the world. They are the ones who build countries and build them with strength and science. Therefore, these young people must be preserved and developed, and this will only come through ending wars and conflicts that directly drain young people, who are considered the strength of wars and armed conflicts, and therefore after To end these wars, young people must unload their wasted energy in many projects and other aspects of life, so peace helps young people to have a better future for themselves and their society.
Where young people play an important role in achieving peace by receiving education and the way to develop and develop virtuous morals, in addition to erasing all forms of intolerance or discrimination in a systematic and organized manner.

Thanks to the various programs mentioned I had to work effectively nearby of my community and I always work for peace in my country concretely in Resolution 2250 adopted by the United Nations Security Council on December 9, 2015, underlines that "the world has never had so many young people and that they constitute often the majority of the population of countries affected by conflict ”. This resolution therefore urges “member states to consider ways to increase inclusive youth representation at all levels”. The inclusion of young people in conflict resolution is a success towards lasting peace in the world, that is why I am very interested in the youth sector and work for young people to bring lasting peace to my country as well as in the world by exercising my activities to mobilize and sensitize young people to the question of peace and security and also to initiate them to the achievement of the objectives of sustainable development that I am in the process of setting up an organizational initiative which works with of the community for its development and peace while focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals, it is the international organization of United Nations volunteers of which I am the country coordinator.

https://www.facebook.com/ursul.boundja

During the last decade, which represents my professional career in engineering consultancy, projects management, humanitarian emergency relief and international development projects, I was able to recognize unique insights where young professional are seldom given any supervision, leadership or management roles or positions, instead, such roles are usually played by the senior employees of older ages for having more experience. This same phenomenon spotted in the private sector also applies to the public sector and governmental jobs in Iraq.

This is a real dilemma, as enabling and empowering youth in Iraq is a must if change to the better is to happen at any seen point in the near future.

Enabling youth, building their capacity, having faith in them and giving them trust to lead is a key element to change the deteriorating conditions of our country. As many may disagree with that justifying it with the concept that younger people may be less responsible and are coming with less experience in life and work, we can all look to this matter from a different point of view. As young people are usually more open-minded, and have more tolerance in terms of adapting with different conditions, accepting new ideas and concepts.

I aspire to establish an institution that will aim to empower youth in Iraq, with special focus on young professionals, in ways that will enable them to compete in the the work market, in both public and private sector jobs, as well as leadership positions on the political sector and leading the country to a new era. Youth in Iraq have been suffering for decades, and it is them who will make the change to better Iraq happen in case they were given the suitable opportunities.

Aid for IDPs and people in need in Iraq.

Since my time as a student in high school or college, my family always arranged small campaigns to help the people in need in or nearby the neighborhoods where we lived, in addition to people in need we know from other areas, cities and provinces in Iraq. These efforts were mainly targeting widows, orphans, and families with special needs (e.g. medical treatment, families with disabled members)

After the ISIS crisis and the following internal displacement of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis (from affected areas in northern and western Iraq mainly to central and southern parts of federal Iraq), it was absolutely necessary to start organizing the Aid and Charity work we were doing on a small scale and expand it to reach as much affected people as possible. I took that mission on my own by co-creating, managing, and coordinating the work of a small group for Aid, Charity and Fundraising. The group included members from family, friends and neighborhood volunteers (about 15 people). During the last year, we were able to raise about $20K USD, and provide aid for 20 different cases (groups and individuals) across entire Iraq, including food and non-food aid, medical treatment and surgeries provision.

Since mid-2014 and until present, Yahya co-found, managed and coordinated efforts of a simple, informal yet effective and efficient charity and fundraising group comprised of family, friends and neighborhood volunteers (about 15 people). The group mainly targets Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), widows and orphans. During the last year, we were able to raise about $24K USD, and provide aid for 30 different cases (groups and individuals) across entire Iraq, including food and non-food aid materials distribution, medical treatment and surgeries provision for children and elderly people.

The experience I have in combating poverty, hunger and homelessness is based on the voluntary work I have been performing since early 2014 until present. As I have established an Aid, Donations and Charity group with friends, former work colleagues, neighbors and some relatives and family members.

The group focused its activities on all kinds of aid and assistance to the internally displaced persons (IPDs), widows, orphans, including non-food items, water and food, healthcare, cash assistance and other kinds of aid. The main funding source for all these activities was from collecting donations and fundraising campaigns through social media and connections.

Below are some examples of our work:
http://bit.ly/ADCGroup_Finances

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10161256457473957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10160754860358957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10160653421333957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10160624735808957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10160577551458957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=414430353311517

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10160515006868957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10160470393263957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10160395779188957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10160373694513957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10160234782648957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10160105497223957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10159989971488957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10159989971488957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10159778622018957&id=791948956

https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10159760788928957&id=791948956

I hope to be able to establish a formal local NGO to move all the work we have been and still doing to formal status and make my volunteering group and official entity.

Yahya Sami
Yahya Sami - MERLA Consultant, Management Specialist, and, Freelance Trainer and Engineer.
AlBazzaz.Yahya@Gmail.com
+9647901599358
https://www.facebook.com/YahyaS.AlBazzaz
https://www.linkedin.com/in/yahya-sami/
https://www.instagram.com/yahya.albazzaz/
https://twitter.com/Yahya_AlBazzaz
Sunday, 10 October 2021 - Baghdad, Iraq.

#MaracaiboSinPlásticos, an initiative to address plastic pollution in the Zulia State, Venezuela.

For years, the city of Maracaibo has been immersed in serious problems due to the poor administration and management of its solid waste, affecting not only the city itself but all the ecosystems that surround it, especially the Maracaibo Lake, an estuary of great importance for its citizens and a cultural symbol for the local communities. Although there have been initiatives to clean up the lake and to manage the city garbage, it is a matter of concern that a large amount of the waste is single-use plastic products whose negative effects are widely known, given their persistence in the environment and the impossibility of reusing them efficiently. Sadly, there are currently no public policies or legislation to regulate this problem. Thus, we hope to open the debate on the problem of these plastics in Venezuela, and in particular in the city of Maracaibo, which has been seriously affected by this situation.

We believe that a clean and plastic-free city is possible, to the extent that the engagement and needs of citizens make it necessary to act and implement legal initiatives and public policies that can be consistent with sustainable development criteria to ensure living conditions and health of our generation and generations to come. Different civil society organizations in the State of Zulia and in particular in the city of Maracaibo have been devoted to encourage and promote the culture of recycling, and we have also observed a growing interest of the public sector in waste management and the care of our city, which is plausible and necessary.

But we also believe that these efforts must go further, and attack the root of the problem. As a society we must recognize the damage that plastics have caused in recent years, and avoid consuming them, looking for alternatives that are friendlier to our environment. This is essential if we seek the realization and guarantee of the right of every person to enjoy a healthy, safe and ecologically balanced environment, as advocated by our national constitution in Article 127.

Within the framework of this campaign, we hope to promote the debate for a more sustainable and cleaner city, through the hashtag #MaracaiboSinPlasticos and generate the necessary alliances for a possible proposal of a municipal ordinance to address this problem.

CIMAS ( www.cimas.org.ve ) is a non-profit organization that aims to promote and defend the rights of indigenous communities and the right to a safe environment in Venezuela. More information about the campaign (in spanish) can be found here: https://cimas.org.ve/maracaibosinplasticos/

Ubuntu United Nations fellow Victor Rujano Bautista, from Venezuela is the Director and Co-founder of CIMAS

Literature which can inspire today’s and tomorrow’s minds towards humanitarianism, unity in Africa and the spirit of Ubuntu.

My fellow change makers, I have a dream to inspire Africa to be less divided than it is.

I am a writer, that is where my tool of change lies. I am a person who has seen part of the worst of xenophobia, political persecution, foreign immigrant marginalisation, and severe institutionalised rejection of Africans on African soil.

Being part of this story myself and witnessing many potential leaders of tomorrow and possible anchors of economies fail to make it because of these societal ills, I have developed a strong desire to see this cancer end.

My passion is writing stories that build societies. It is my wish to publish and keep writing African stories which show these horrors, but which also inspire tomorrow’s future.

I believe that literature is a powerful tool that can plant ideas, inspire and educate.

Information is another aspect which people from my background lack. Many immigrants struggle to know where they can get an education they can afford without the support of scholarships from host countries. I always like to share everything I know on my Facebook page where most of my people always are. I write blog posts and share articles because information is hard to get when you have to prioritise getting food and shelter in a foreign country.

What I believe is that change might not happen because a million people heard you. It can happen even when just one listens. Therefore I understand that as a writer my life is about sowing seeds. I just hope that they take root as I grow as well for the best.

My journey started very early in life. I knew what I wanted to do and the purpose I had to serve. For me the soil is peace and I want to ensure that this beautiful, diverse Earth of ours can be shared with the future generations.
I am a farmer, Agriprenuer and youth advocate, fighting for equality, peace and sustainability. Though I founded Akata Farms with a mission to better the lives of my family, community and yes..make a profit , I can't ignore the social call I see around me. The call to ensure our people have access to affordable consistent and quality foods. The call to end hunger and poverty and whilst doing so drive innovation, sustainability and economic growth.

Akata Farms is a self sustainable integrated farm. We produce a wide selection of organic products targeting both domestic and regional imports. Build capacity for export and it's my goal to expand across the globe. If given the opportunity, I want to better the lives of those who can't do it themselves as they are restricted in many ways. I want to assist them to create and innovative change in their own communities.

And I believe this network, this family of changemakers is that ingredient for that success.

Abuntu!!!

My name is Mwamba Mukuka from Zambia and I have a bachelors degree in development studies. I am happy to be a part of this movement that allows us to connect and share our beautiful ideas. I am passionate about helping people with the spirit of Ubuntu that lives in me. I voluntarily feed the children on the streets as well as make few donations such as books to struggling schools. I think most people wait to have enough resources in order to help others but I believe in order for the situation to change we should act even without resources. Sharing and posting our brilliant ideas could help make a change too. Let us fight and get to our utopia vision. A life where all people are happy and no one is suffering. We can do it. We are Ubuntu, the future leaders and the change makers.

WANTING AND WILLING TO EFFECTUATE POSITIVE CHANGES BUT FINANCIALLY LIMITED

Hello honorable change Leaders!

I am Mulbah Isaac Flomo, 22 years old, a Liberian, a children and youth rights advocate and the Chairperson of a national children and youth rights advocacy group in Liberia called the National Children and Youth Advisory Board (NCYAB-Liberia). I am very passionate about children, youth and young women rights advocacy as well as economic empowerment. Since 2012, I have volunteered with a lot of civil society and children protection organizations in my country including the Liberian National Children Representative Forum, Young Men's Christian Association of Liberia (YMCA-Liberia), Sustainable Educational Initiative Liberia Inc., African Youth Fellowship, Planned Parenthood Association of Liberia, etc, to name a few. Besides, I currently serve as the Chairperson of NCYAB-Liberia, a national children and youth rights advocacy group that was founded in 2012, by then Chairman Kofi Anna of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), now AU. It was initially brought together and funded as a four years project to unite children and youth who would speak for themselves against all forms of violence perpetrated against children and youth in Africa. However, NCYAB-Liberia is the only existing structure because the project came to an end since 2016 and there is not enough supports as compared to before. Interestingly, the then project is now an established organization in Liberia, comprising of children and youth (13-24 years old) who are still working together as a team to ensure that violence perpetrated against children and youth is minimized or eradicated, though there is a very limited financial support. All of its members and staff continue their advocacies on a voluntary basis.

Going forward, permit me to use this time to inform you all that I am also a double orphan (both biological father and mother have died) and I have been self-supported since age 12 but because of the plethora of violence perpetrated against children and youth in Liberia, on a daily basis, I am committing my all to continuing the struggles, so as to ensure that the rights of all children and youth in Liberia are respected, through my voluntary, constructive and persistent advocacies and lobby. Abuses such as rape, street vending / begging, children labor, children prostitution, and particularly the denial of children access to a standard and affordable education system remain high and increasingly rampant on a daily basis, in our country.

I have tried helping but again, I'm involved and there are even points in time that I use what I labor for, to share with other unfortunate colleagues. I now have a dream of investing in an empowerment program that will provide entrepreneurial skills and adequate job provisions directly to over 500 children and youth yearly, through animal husbandry or poultry farming, but I am hugely limited, interms of finance. If this idea is implemented, I can assure the world that Liberia can be a land of harvest wherein our country most populated people (children and youth) can be economically empowered, thereby contributing immensely to our rights being respected. I need a partner / partners or donors who can help me to bring this dream to actuality.

Again, I remain your humble servant, Mulbah Isaac Flomo.

Please feel free to contact me on the following addresses:
1. Phone: +231776441369 / +231880166063
2. WhatsApp: +231776441369
3. Email: isaacflomo100100@gmail.com

Or, please find me on Facebook or LinkedIn by searching for my name; send me a friend request followed by a text message, expressing your interest.

Thanks!

The Lab was launched because employment justice is not easily accessible, human-centred to end-users in the social system and cannot be solved by individuals alone. It is a platform for co-creation and experimentation; and just like in a laboratory, new ideas, tools and prototypes are developed to address the access to justice issue.

Solutions are found in new technologies, new policies, new business models, and other forms of collaboration.
Serving is my nature

I’m Emilie RASOANINDRINA, originally from Madagascar, since I’m aware of my responsibility as a young citizen bringing change for the development of my community and the world in the long term, my life is based on a line of the credo of the Junior Chamber International which is: "I believe that serving humanity is the best work of a life", because my value is serving others while learning from others and always share without expecting to receive in return.
Very involved in the associative life as a volunteer of the Junior Chamber International Madagascar - Local Organization Member JCI IARIVO, I owe a lot to this organization which taught me to become the best version of myself to always be a person of solution and to develop my passion on the youth empowerment.
This year I have the opportunity to be the project manager of the RISE initiative in my Local Organization JCI IARIVO, it is a JCI global initiative to address the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, JCI RISE stands for Rebuild - Invest - Sustain and Evolve. Through this initiative, we were led to create a sustainable solution project to sustain and rebuild the local economy, its name is Project Help Actions for Youth or Project HAY, the objective is to help young people aged 21 to 35 years old affected by the pandemic since the year 2020 in our community (young employees who lost their jobs and young entrepreneurs who efaced difficulties in their business) to benefit from vocational reorientation support and then capacity building training for young employees so that they develop skills to find decent work in the labor market and entrepreneurship training for young entrepreneurs to better excel in their businesses. Currently we are in the recruitment and selection phase of the young beneficiaries of the project. You can support us and follow our activities on this link: https://web.facebook.com/HAY-Help-Actions-for-Youth-106089511695039

Among other things, I am passionate about the environment and technology, which led me to convert to the world of entrepreneurship today by becoming a social entrepreneur.
In Madagascar, waste management is more than ever a major issue. In 2020, the city of Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, generated about 1000 tons of municipal solid waste per day, this quantity continues to grow day by day while the specialized treatment infrastructures are insufficient, which leads to an increase in the rate of insalubrity in the city and air pollution. Concerned about these environmental and sanitary issues, I had the idea to create a project that is part of the improvement of the living conditions of the population and the ecosystem by having as a pillar the integration of sustainable development. Thus, it will be a company that will collect recyclable waste from households and public and private institutions in the city through a subscription system on a mobile application and value this waste through a web and mobile platform that will act as a portal for recycling industries so that they can be supplied without disruption of the raw materials necessary for their production processes of recycled products with high market value. HOPE Services contributes to the SDGs number 3, 8, 11 and 13.
Since last year and until today, I have been taking training and programs in person and online to be able to set up my company HOPE Services. The STEP program or Student Training for Entrepreneurial Promotion of UNESCO with the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training Madagascar, the entrepreneurship program of TEF or Tony Elumelu Foundation as well as the fellowship program Business and Entrepreneurship Development cohort 14 of YALI RLC South Africa have helped me a lot to advance my project. Currently, in the project we are in the stage of looking for investors to give us the seed capital and the necessary funds to be able to incorporate and start the business.

You can contact me on the following social networks:

https://www.linkedin.com/in/emilie-rasoanindrina-91a1121aa/
https://twitter.com/Emhilie
https://web.facebook.com/emilie.rasoanindrina/
https://www.instagram.com/emilierasoanindrina/?hl=fr
rasoanindrina.emilie@gmail.com
WhatsApp : +261346682973
ID Skype: emhilie

I'm deeply moved by social issues and constantly try to contribute to them through every possible way and mainly through volunteering.

About a year ago, I came across an interesting platform supported by Unesco (Unesco Green Citizens projects) through which I had the opportunity to get in touch with an NGO based in Morocco. The organization, called The future is green, focuses on the environment and its preservation while it uses environmental activities as a tool in order to promote solidarity, self-sufficiency, education and the social integration of vulnerable groups. I very happily contributed to their efforts by creating their new web page as well as editing educational material. It is amazing what people can achieve through their love and need for nature. 🌱 ❤️

Unesco Green citizens projects:
https://www.unescogreencitizens.org/

NGO new web site pilot desktop version:
https://thefutureisgreen3.wordpress.com/

Gaining Servant Leadership for Good Governance! Hi Change Makers, It’s amazing meeting all participants virtually. My name is Francisca Nkechinyere Musei. I am Nigeria which and it is located in the western part of Africa. We are a population close to about 270 million citizens. My first degree is in Geology from the University of Port-Harcourt, Nigeria and I also hold a second degree in Oil and Gas Management from Coventry University, England. I work in an Energy Utility Company known as Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC). Aside being a Complaint Resolution Officer, I spend most of my weekends volunteering at an NGO called African Youth Initiative for Good Leadership and Education (AFRIYIGLED). Here in Nigeria we have been a part of the initiative for community development and social change through voluntarily organizing Leadership and Education workshops/trainings. In our world today, it’s no news anymore how Leadership has always being the root cause of bad governance, take for instance my country where the Leadership is nothing to write home about. A lot of setbacks the country is facing is as a result of the bad Leadership. In order to change this narrative, as an NGO, we embarked on the project titled ‘’I CAN BE A LEADER PROJECT’’. This is a medium - long term project which took effect on the 7th October 2021. This project involves going to schools (both Secondary and Primary) to encourage young people to take up Leadership roles wherever they find themselves. This project will be one of a kind in Nigeria as it will involve traveling to schools in Abuja. Our aim is to catch them young at the early stage of their career.Currently I am soliciting for sponsorship to support this project because I strongly believe it is the best platform to use for initiating and developing leadership morals. We hope to guide them towards realizing their dreams and visions in becoming the true Leaders of tomorrow’s future. Finally, thank you for this great opportunity to be a part of the Ubuntu Academy and Ubuntu United Nations. I trust with the knowledge and skills gained I’ll make positive contribution to my community and its societal development.

I hereby sharing my ideas on the concept of '' Grain by grain''.
To my perception, considering the major issues that threaten to affect the well-being of mankind and the betterment of the society as awhole. The concept of '' Grain by grain'' is obviously rational and proves to be indispensable for the societal transformation and progress.
Currently, the humanity faces a multitude of social and economic-related problems that cause the million of lives to perish, impoverish the nations and individuals and endanger the entire planet. Hence, the viable materialization of the concept '' Grain by grain'' is the convenient and the effective appraoch required to resolve the various challenging issues that continuosly and considerably diminish the valuable ressources needed for our existence and thus sap our living standard.
In regard of this fact, it's highly necessary for us to grow and preserve the seeds or grains in order to build a healthy, safe and prosperous world where the mankind will eat to satisfaction by generating the wealth in abondance and ensure the food security. Promoting the concept of '' Grain by grain'' will enable us to overcome the hunger, the poverty, global warming, the illegal immigration and the mass unemployment.
It is self-evident that the ever-increasing number of the world population, the prevalence of the deforestation , the rudimentary farming, the scarcity of the available ressources and the extreme poverty arouse a profound concern about the fate of the present and the future generations whence the necessity of growing seeds with higher level of productivity that yields surplus outcome and the judicious management principles in order to guarantee the chances of the present and the future generations to enjoy a sustainable social and economic growth in a better World.
For so doing, it is high time for us to undertake and priviledge the grain-based projects that are pragmatic and viable in nature which can stregthen and accelerate the collective grain actions towards building a better World where the food abounds for everyone. These kind of projects will not only produce food sufficiency but also impact our lives in all its aspects including public health, enviromental protection, well-being, finacial or economic stability , self-autonomy which will beget the happiness for every individual thereby promoting the social justice and well-being.

In 2015, Burkina Faso in turn began to be the target of jihadist attacks. On August 23, 2015, a gendarme was fatally injured in an attack on the Oursi post by three armed men, who according to a witness claimed to be Boko Haram. Little by little since that date the country has been the victim of recurrent terrorist attacks causing numerous victims forcing the villagers to flee their homes.

The number of internally displaced people increased from 560,033 in December 2019 to 1,074,993 people in December 2020, an increase of 92% according to the National Council for Emergency Relief and Rehabilitation. This deteriorated situation continues and spreads in many parts of the country. Thus, since August 2018, the Eastern region has also experienced a significant increase in security incidents. At the start of June 2020, over 921,000 displaced people had been registered in the region. To date, 70% of them are confronted with problems related to food, clothing, shelter, access to portable water and schooling. These closures affect 304,450 students, or 156,456 boys and 147,994 girls, and 11,068 teachers, or 7,259 men and 3,809 women. In addition, since the closure of the school, there are 20 girls in school aged 15 to 17 given in early marriage.

Dear All change-makers, peacebuilders, wonderful guests, and hosts, greeting to you and welcome!

You don’t know how happy I am to be able to talk here using an international Language and if we went back to a year ago, my word was nonsense, without meaning and non-understandable, Let me tell you something: a difficult part of being an Afghan is to speak in an international Language, to learn this wonderful English language I passed too many difficulties and I would like to mention Andrea Martinez, my incredible Argentinian professor, who never become tired and worked hard, days and nights with me to help me to speak worldwide.

I am Rohullah Sarwari from Afghanistan, a country known for everyone and most of the people are afraid when they hear about this wild land. Honestly, during these days I am afraid too when I hear the name of my country. But I am here to tell you stories about this dangerous land, and how difficult life can be when you are an Afghan citizen. Today our program focuses on human rights issues and the heroes like you who sacrifice their lives and work hard to build a peaceful environment for humanity. In my opinion, the world, frequently, is a dangerous and unbearable place for living; however, if we are able to coexist in such a horrible world with tragic events and horrible moments is because of the selfless work of those who never give up and tried hard to build pacifically an environment! One of these outstanding person whose work is the best example of the worldwide hero, international human rights defender Mr. Antonio Gutters who always tried without ceasing for human rights around the world, especially in Afghanistan.

Although Afghanistan is a dangerous place to live, there are many people who are kind, honest, change-maker, and peacebuilder, working to grant people have access to basic human rights. Unfortunately, now, during the authority of a new regime in my country, human social activists and change-makers are at risk. Sadly, most of them are not able to breath anymore and we have lost them because they lost the right to be alive. For example Khasha, he was a social activist. His job was to bring smiles to people, but when the new regime came to the power they punished him with some bullets on his head without a clear reason, just because he was an ordinary person who tried to make people happy.

Nowadays, being alive in Afghanistan is almost impossible and it has many reasons. Afghan people experienced a horrible collapse and now they are being witnesses of the effect of this falling in their daily lives. For example, it is winter in Afghanistan and most of the population is not able to have a piece of bread or doesn't have the possibility to heat their homes to face the killing cold climate. For hanger people, human rights are meaningless. They see their rights in piece of bread and having enough food and a warm place to survive. After the regime took government control in Afghanistan, everything changed. The economic cycle destroyed so there are not any jobs for anyone, that's why insecurity has awfully increased. As a result, people of my country face with unknown future, dangerous destinations with empty pockets.

If we went back to some months ago, the situation was a little different, there was a light of hope coexisting with inequality and insecurity! But people had enough courage and they were trying to change their lives for better.

For example, my colleagues and I, full of enthusiasm, woke up early in the morning and preparing ourselves to go to work. We were social workers and our daily meeting was with the most vulnerable people who were tired of unfair system and world, but at the end of the day we were able to give them this ray of hope and covered basic needs. Eventually, maybe I am one of the fortune person among them who could come out of Afghanistan to study; however, my colleagues are at risk and most of them have to live hidden because NOW they are vulnerable and tired of life, they, with all their inner inspirational soul become part of those who think here is the end of the world, just few of them are refugees but ignore about their future. For instance, our team leader Mrs., Latifa Yaqubi, was a person who served a big part of her live fighting for women and humans' rights; she studied psychology and she had not any impossible word in her dictionary, but a few days ago I called her, she was disappointed, tired and hopeless in a refugee camp in Pakistan, with unknown future. She was part of those who had accepted there are literally sometimes impossible in its meaning.

Nargis my uncle's daughter who is 13 years old, was in 7th grade at school last year. Every day I saw her early in the morning, she woke up and was interested to go to school, but this year she can’t go to school. Not only that, also the cycle of live has changed for her and there is not any hope for her future to continue her studies. How painful was the moment when I heard it!

I was not able to do anything for my uncle's daughter Nargis, but I immediately called my mother and asked her about my 16 years old sister. Is she going to school or not? My mother told me, the new regime closed school doors for girls, but she is attending in some new hidden study program whose school director made it. I found out that there are still hopes and my sister's school director is a hero, because with lots of limitations he is trying hard to continue with the study process, and it was the happiest moment when I heard she is able to study even hidden. After that, my mother added: -“we need to pay her fee and prepare basic needs for our winter”. It sounds like no important issue while someone has a job, but I am a student who needs to spend and study, and my family doesn’t have anyone to support them. The hard part is that, I came to India with a student visa and I don’t have work permission, and there is not any place to hire me. Then I become obliged to borrow money from my Indian and international classmates and sent them to my family in Afghanistan. Of course, I felt happy that I could solve their problems, but Lean is something that we have to pay it back and during these days paying back that money to my classmates become a difficult challenge in my daily life, and it almost interrupted my study process… I am trying hard to do my best and I am sure I will succeed and I will change this situation too. But it's very important that my family has access to the basic needs in Afghanistan. At the end of the day, I am still hopeful, I see clearly the sign of hopes shining brightly and making it possible to continue and move forward, and talk with you dear all change-makers. You are the sign of hope and you are the bright future! I believe every Afghan people should have an opportunity in this world, they have to try and seek for better tomorrow, I am sure there will be many bright days and shining moments after these dark and horrible events, and everything will become fine after all this terrible moment but they need help to reach the light of hope. I am so happy for all these beautiful moments and thanks Ubuntu for creating these wonderful inspirational moments for us.

Thank you Maria for inviting me as a speaker!

here is my contact address: sarwarir313@gmail.com
What's app Number: 0093766360193

I am designing a project that aims to educate on ecology, art and worldwide natural based spirituality, to help people get back to it's roots.
I build interfaith bridges in order to help people talk about the issues considering their spiritual beliefs in order to be in tune with respect for nature and other's belief systems.
A deeply ecological sense is in it, which brings the art form into an Earth's medium for emotional expression.
The aim is to reach worldwide so people can join whatever the country they live in, so it's online.
It's already up, but I still need financing for making it a real thing in physical form. An actual school of ecological art and spiritually respectful.

We need ecological education and to help people find their own spirituality through ancient history of spiritual and today's history of beliefs.

It's possible that in a way, it helps to build bridges of equality and respect for everyone's artistic endeavours.

There is a lot of research that points to art being a way to generate solutions to complex problems.
