Elie survived the holocaust because he held his head up high and did everything to be there for his father until he passed away. After his father passed he still survived and was liberated by the Allied forces. Anne Frank did not survive the holocaust because she died by a disease the week before the concentration camp she was at got liberated but her father found her diary. “Whoever is happy will make others happy too.”

Think of all the beauty still around you and be happy.”

“I keep my ideals, because in spite of everything, I still believe people are still good at heart.”

These quotes are good at showing that the character Annika Frank’s optimism even in the toughest times were her and her family were struggling to survive yet she kept an excellent mindset.
