How would you advise your peer to handle that situation?

I would suggest they stay calm and take a moment to reflect before responding. It can be helpful to gather all the information and then address the issue assertively, focusing on finding a solution that benefits everyone involved.

What do you think your peer learned from this critical incident?

From the situation described, my peer likely learned the importance of clear communication and patience when dealing with challenges. They probably realized how essential it is to manage emotions effectively in stressful situations to maintain professionalism.

After reflecting on their critical incident, would you react differently if it happened to you? However, I would also focus on staying solution-oriented, similar to how my peer handled it.

1. How would you advise your partner to handle this situation?

= I would advise him/her to send vocabulary material or some image related to the topic to be seen moments before or the day before class so that the students can practice, and when they arrive at class they will not be without the basis of the topic to be discussed.

2. What do you think your partner learned from this critical incident?

= Note that it is a challenge since he/she must teach from scratch, however, it helps him/her to reinforce his/her learning towards his/her students, he/she learned to look at more ways of teaching, more material, more patience to explain several times.

3. After reflecting on his/her critical incident, would you react differently if it happened to you? Why or why not?

= No, because, it is a good idea to take into account all these types of things to improve in each class, in addition, the idea of handling a vocabulary warm-up before class, and the questions after class, also seems like a good option to help students with their learning process.
