For the first week, I have designed the logo and my product using Adobe Photoshop. It took me a few days to discuss with my friend and finalize the design. I got inspiration from social media, Pinterest and magazines. I also learned about Adobe Photoshop so that I can execute my idea well into the canvas. Other than that, I have made an Instagram account for my brand (@2amcuedinlist). 

Point to remember from week 1 is do not be afraid to trial and error and ask for opinions so that i have different point of view from various people. It is very important to make the design more inclusive.

The first week was fun as I learned new things and I really enjoyed designing. However, it was so stressful during the process as i wanted to come out with fresh ideas and designs for my brand. 

I can design anything using Adobe Photoshop like clothing products, poster, flyer and many more. I have made my own sticker design using Adobe to be included with the purchase of my brand. 

It is not easy to design and execute our idea. To overcome this problem, I learned and explored Adobe Photoshop so that I can use it well and come out with amazing designs. 

Stressing but exciting.

2. What have you done?
This is my first week of elective posting. There is some delay due to our final exam  but luckily still have time for it. As mentioned in the name of this project 'Nutrispread', my project is about producing a nutritious peanut butter spread. Commercial peanut butter are usually high in calorie(due to added ingredients like oil) and sugar content as well with added preservatives. In order to make my own peanut butter with higher nutritional value, I spend my first week surveying for the ingredient and recipe for peanut butter from various platform such as Youtube and Google. 

3. Points to remember from week 1!
Thing to remember in the first week is that always gather more information on what we are going to do before taking any actions. Just like making a nutritious peanut butter, we should do more survey on the ingredients used and improve the recipe referring to others as well but not just following the only one. I think this is a very important value that we should have as a future doctor.

4. Your feelings & thoughts 
I'm so excited while searching online for tutorial on how to make peanut butter. This is a totally new things in my life and I can't wait to try it out.

5. 1 good thing from what you did that you can practice now!
The one good thing that I learnt from the first week is that gather more opinions and information before taking any action. I personally agreed on it. Medical profession is a life-long learning process, thus we should read more on new information so that it benefit our patients the most.

6. Any difficulties/concerns? How did you cope?
The difficulties I faced in the first week is that I could not do my survey on the ingredient in the supermarket as now it is still under MCO. However with the help of online shopping platform, it helps me pretty much.

2. What have you done?
I had learned the watercolor techniques for dreamlike illustrations step by step with Gemma Capdevila at Domestika online. I learned how to use paint brushes, from strokes to the meaning of illustrations as you paint. I also practice painting with numbers bought from Shopee.

3. Points to remember from week 1!
I gained so many experiences and my perspective changes as I learn new things every day. It seems so natural for the artist to paint but as I start painting, it was challenging. Painting with numbers was fun and it made me more determined to paint.

4. Your feelings & thoughts
I felt very fulfilled as this had been my hobby all along that I could not really accomplish or start due to time restrictions and an unsupportive dad. I also felt rewarded and happy as my piece turned out beautiful.

5. 1 good thing from what you did that you can practice now!
I can blend the colors well followed by a gradient. It was natural that I have this skill and I felt proud of it.

6. Any difficulties/concerns? How did you cope?
There were a few difficulties I faced including running out of paint instruments in the midst of painting. Getting the right instruments was hard online not knowing their quality. My concerns were mostly towards the canvas and paint colors for my future clients would be not be enough. Hence, I coped by planning ahead, the amount of instruments I need and buy it from Shopee, check the reviews and asking the seller first for its quality.

My plan next week is to open up an Instagram small business account and start off with my own few paintings to sell out. For the first week, my team and I created a brand under the name of Les émaux which objective is to sell cute enamel pins targeted at one of the biggest fandoms. So far, we had discussed in detailed our financial management, each member's job scope, browsing through different platforms to search for interesting items to sell, and we also went ahead and created a website on Instagram to market our products. So far, we had gained 100+ followers which we considered to be a good start to our business.

One important thing I've learned in week 1 was how hard it can be to gain followers. That's why persistence is really needed to keep on promoting, sharing our page, and coming out with good marketing ideas to make sure the product gains much interest. 

So far I'm feeling very motivated as selling products has always been something very interesting to me. I hope the motivation that I have now will last until the end of this elective posting period and I hope that it would continue even after this posting ends. We are currently thinking of expanding our business by selling other products as well after we earn more followers. 

One good thing that I did was creating promotional videos. I learned how to maneuver video editing application and I think that it would be very useful in the future as well. I also planned on producing more eye-catching videos that would grasp the public's attention. 

So far, there have been no difficulties during the past week. This is mostly due to my team members' effort and tolerance to one another. Because we divided our jobs equally, everyone is satisfied with their tasks. 

2 words to describe this elective posting progress so far would be exciting and productive. This elective posting period has kept me busy and helped me prevent slacking off thus making me more productive. It is always exciting to see how our business will turn out in the near future. 

My plan for week 2 would be to keep promoting our products to other people and creating more videos. This way, our page would reach more people faster.
By regularly posting our products to our page, we are able to gain more views from our targeted customers.

What have you done?
For this past one week, I have done a few things as a starter. Once I have registered online, I'd got many online tutors to join every day, but at different times. Sometimes, the class would be handled at evening, other times would be at night.

Points to remember from week 1!
Certainly, there are important points worth to take note from week 1. Mainly, I had to study as much as possible to truly grasp the knowledge of property investment since I began from zero. Therefore, I had a lot to cover starting from the basic first of course, that is the terminology often used in this industry. Apart from that, I had to remember the concepts they taught me. As they say, not everything is easy, some may be difficult, but as you go through, you will get used to it until it becomes easy naturally.

Your feelings & thoughts
My feelings throughout the first whole week was full of excitement undoubtedly. The primary reason being is that because I got so much to learn. This is like a whole new thing for me. I thought all this precious knowledge will be very useful in long run. Not only it is beneficial for short time, but some day I can surely make use of it for my own property investment and to help others as well.

1 good thing from what you did that you can practice now!
One good thing that I did was spread the knowledge to the public including my circle of friends. Who knows, there might be one day where they would be interested in property investment also so that my knowledge won't be thrown intro trash just like that, but instead can be used to spread financial awareness in this industry.

Any difficulties/concerns? How did you cope?
To be truthful, there is a slight concern for me through this one week. I got the concern that I might need motivational support for myself to keep going steadfast in learning the knowledge of property investment. On that account, how I coped was by trying to reach a close friend of mine and tell her every tiny story I had during this process, and that actually gave me a feeling for me to keep forward and never back down.

For my elective posting, I choose to learn playing ukulele which start on 31st July. I am so happy and excited once my ukulele arrived and I also purchased an online class for udemy with 80% off the original fee. It’s a great deal, indeed.

From first week, I learnt how to tune the ukulele, learn basic chords and changing between chords. It’s been 4 days and realising I have so many things to catch up. To be specific, I’ve learnt chords :

Am, Dm, G7, C, G, G7, D7, Dmajor and Dm7.

I also learn the first seven strumming patterns.
Feelings and thoughts
I changed my mind for my EP Project, from dropship business to learn playing ukulele. I become more excited and motivated because I have the opportunity to learn one instrument as a part of my dream. 

1 good thing from what I did?
Patience and patience. Playing a music instrument require loads of patience. It can be hard because changing chords and trying not to sound horrible is difficult but if I have to be successful, I have to be patient.

Any difficulties and ways of coping?

Definitely when I have to change chord by chords while matching with melodies. From the lectures and classes, I learn it is so important for repetitive practices because my fingers are still not used to change from one chord to another.

For the first week , I have done some reading on my project . According to my proposal , I planned to do some reading on the basic steps in agriculture before starting to do field work . I have been doing my reading in few websites like https://www.manage.gov.in/publications/farmerbook.pdf and https://www.agriculture.com/farm-management/business-planning/11-steps-to-a-whole-farm-plan . It’s not been easy to read and understand the concepts in agriculture but I am hoping to learn more during my fieldwork . 

So far , I have read on the crop selection , the factors influencing the crop selection , land preparation and seed selection which are some of the important points that I learned from week 1 . 

I am feeling excited to learn and discover new things . I am also motivated to do something beneficial during my semester break . 

One good thing that i did was learning and discovering new things . I would have chose some easy online courses instead of learning agriculture , but my passion towards learning new things have made me to do my project on agriculture and i am proud of it . 

I faced some difficulties during my reading . It was hard to understand the concepts without a proper tutoring from a experienced person . But i am planning to ask and learn from the local farmers in  upcoming weeks . 

I would describe my elective posting as productive and interesting.  Instead of wasting my semester break doing nothing, i am spending my time on learning things . 

Next week , I am planning to continue my reading . Once finish learning the basic steps ,i would like to start with my fieldwork. I am planning to go to the farms and do hands- on learning  from the farmers and the workers with strictly adherence to SOP .

For my elective posting, I choose to do a business of Cendawan sisir emas which start on 1st August. it is a fresh and organic product from the farms cultivated by the Bumiputera themselves. this mushroom is very unique and hard to find.
 
For the first week, I’m done with formulated business plan and strategy. I have also prepared and promoted my stuff on every platform like Instagram, Facebook and Whatsapp. as in Facebook, I use the marketplace facilities provided by Facebook which has made it easier for me to promote my products to the nearest group and community. at the same time, I have also been in touch and dealing online with the product distributor and have placed an order from him and need to wait for the product to be delivered before it is packaged and delivered to the customer. I have also prepared a logo for the product. it was a difficult challenge because it took a long time to make it.
 
 
 
The important thing I get is not to be shy in doing something that is not our expertise and always dare to try and be confident. knowledge is one of the important components in business so it must be studied with more experienced people. careful preparation and planning are also important to get us on the right track
 
 
Very excited actually to start this idea because business is an interest that I have had since childhood. I can’t wait to give the best to my customers and present a product that is rarely available in the market
 
 
 
The good thing I gained was I learned how to deal and collaborate in the business world. not only that, in terms of marketing as well, I learned a lot to attract customers visually and psychologically. the most important thing is to learn in terms of managing financial issues.
 
 
Due to the pandemic, the challenge of doing business is more difficult in getting customers, but with social media and more sophisticated technology. Alhamdulillah, this matter can have an impact. from there I have to make full use of the opportunities and advantages available in terms of promotion and management
 
Two words to describe my elective posting is challenging but surprising, because what, this business is a very challenging thing and at the same time very surprising because it all depends on sustenance and management strategy.
 
My plan for week 2 is that I will learn in more detail in terms of plan and strategy and correct previous mistakes. I will be repackaging when the product arrives.

2.     What have you done?
 I enrolled myself into this interesting course on astronomy. Before starting the course, I did a little research on the Big Bang theory and watch some related videos on YouTube. After gaining some prior knowledge, I started the course by watching the given videos. First week of my course is on Revolution of the Earth, Ellipses and Gravity, Beginning of the Universe and Cosmic Expansion. Then, I answered the set of questions which were given as a practice before answering the main test for each topic which I mentioned earlier. When I started doing the practice set, I found it was very easy at first. However, later I realised it was getting harder and harder. Thankfully, this course allows me to learn from my mistake and reattempt the questions which I have gotten wrong earlier and it will not affect my final grade.
 
 
3.     Points to remember from week 1!
 I have already gained a lot of knowledge within just 1 week. I have learnt about the basic concept of revolution of the Earth which contributes to the occurrence of day and night and four seasons in a year. I have understood how the individual planets move about the sun in an elliptical orbits instead of circular orbits. I have learnt about the Milky Way galaxy where our solar system is located and a little on other galaxy. Just for your information, the universe is still expanding but at a slower state compared to before this and it’s fate remains unknown.

To be honest, I am even more interested and excited to learn about these things

 I did some extra research besides just watching the given videos in order to understand better and make sure the information in updated.

 Some of the quizzes were really difficult but I managed to answer based on what I understood via the videos.

  • There are a few things that we have done in the first week, my team and I have created social media account for our brand known as Les emaux, quite a catchy name. So far we have 100+ followers and that is a good start for our business. For the early stage, we aim to sell enamel pins targeted to one of the famous fandoms which are BTS. By that, we can attract more people to come and visit our social media. We also follow few selected groups on Facebook and telegram to further promote our products. Furthermore, we also discuss everyone's job scope, surveying any potential interesting products to sell at different platforms. 
  • One crucial point to remember from week 1 is not to be shy in doing something that is not your expertise. At first, it is quite embarrassed to post product at my social media because I’m a quiet introvert in social platform. As time goes by I get used to it. We don’t need to believe ourselves to start doing something but instead do it first and then you will believe that you can do it. The second point is how hard to gain followers because me and my friends are not very well known. Therefore, we need to be consistent in promoting our product and keep post informative and beneficial content on social media to develop our branding. 
  • I’m feeling very excited and motivated at the same time as this is the first time I’m coming out of my comfort zone. I like to do business but never have the courage to do so. Very thankful for being surrounded by amazing friends. I hope that our business keeps going until the elective posting ended.  
  • 1 good thing from what I did that I can practice now is to be brave in expressing yourself on social media. What I mean is I need to have the courage to show myself by sharing content, making videos that can help us grow our brand. By that, we can gain more followers and customers

    I have collaborated and asked opinion from experts and friends in this field to improve my products and marketing strategy. I also have contacted a total of 6 printing shops to get quotation and prices and compare them. After that, I select and finalize the material and designs for my product with the printing shop. We discussed together and I have ordered for a sample first before proceed with the full orders. When the sample arrived, I was so happy and satisfy with their printing and the material. After that, we proceed with the rest of the order. To complement all these processes, I have learned basic business and marketing strategy through reliable articles and videos.

    Communication skill is really important in entrepreneurship as we are dealing with many people.

    Week 2 was so interesting and I had a lot of fun because I get to experience dealing with different types of people.
    Communication skill is a skill that we all need to master as we encounter different people every day. I also learned about basic business and the right way to start a business.

    The difficulty I encounter is time limitation as the printing shop is so busy with their orders, plus the implementation of MCO. It is so hard to deal with them to keep up with our schedule.

    2. I am collaborating with my other two friends in selling adorable enamel pins. For the first week, My team and I have done few things, including creating an Instagram account, promoting our products, discussing a marketing strategy, and distributing job scopes among team members. We divided our job scopes into three parts which are marketing, orders management, and products packaging & delivery. As for marketing, we planned on focusing our product promotion through social media especially Instagram. Gratefully, We have gained quite a number of followers since we actively posted our product's picture on our Instagram feed. we also managed to get more than 10 customers in this first week. In addition to that, we created a google sheet to record our customers' orders and track the cash flow so that would be easier for other members to see the updates. More importantly, we also created a Whatsapp group for business purposes, thus, easier for us to discuss. Other than that, we had bought packaging items such as boxes and rope from Shopee at affordable prices.
