For my artifact project, I observed my classroom, Ms. Friedman's first grade class at Campus School, on September 11, 2025. On this day, we worked on ELA, Social Studies, Math, and Reading. In this project, I will connect the day's activities and lessons with the NIET rubric and show examples and evidence of the work done in class.

Ms. Friedman starts the lesson by saying the standard and the students repeat it back to her.

We begin by doing some review of previous math concepts, like addition. Ms. Friedman calls on students to answer the equations. Ms. Friedman called out numbers and students showed the numbers on their fingers.

Ms. Friedman presents about two part expressions that equal 7 and 8. We practice as a class on the board. Then, students are paired and then do a game with counters.

The exit ticket was an individual assessment where they created an equation that equals 7.
