Some thing that were important were the difference between technology now and then and the difference from the way people worked and other types of rules from then. Some things i wondered were that if some of the kids enjoyed working because they had nothing else to do. I also wondered how they go 5-year old to work because I know that when I was five I would definitely not have done anything.

Some thing that were important were that there were details from child labor and there were some details about how kids used to live there lives back then and that the way they used to live back then was unfair. Something I wondered was how did all these people survive from being slaves because If I was a slave, I would've probably died after not even a 1/2 year of being a slave.

A question that I still have after learning this stuff is did the kids get to the point wear they worked so hard did they not even care anymore?

But the coal powered factory's created lots of pollution and it was very bad for the environment. So then people started to hire kids which was bad for the kids heath and life.

One thing that was important was that inventors made machines powered by water which caused hand powered tools to not be used as much or even at all. These new machines caused pollution, the worst conditions were at the textile mills of New England. A 10 year old mill girl said "were paid 2 dollars a week and the working hours of all the girls extended from 5 o'clock in the morning to 7 in the evening with one half and a hour to eat breakfast and dinner." this shows that just a ten year old has to work long shifts from 5 in the morning to 7 in the evening which this is known for child labor.

One thing that was important was that humans were able to invent machines and factory's so life would be easier for people/kids who had to work with little pay. But the artificial machines created pollution and children still needed to work harder than they should. This caused health problems and pollution in the air we breathe. On the other hand the machines made work cheaper and faster. Also in the text it said, "With the development of locomotives and steamboats, manufactured goods could now be sold halfway around the world." This is good because going different places you can get more money rather than selling goods to one spot.

Both videos talked about the problem with Child Labor. In the first video, hearing that they only made 30 cents a week, and even less than grown-ups, is very devastating. After all of the hard work the children had to go through, then barely enough to put one meal on the table is just horrible. In the second video, when the ten year old girl was speaking, it was very sad that they had to work from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., with only a half-hour break for food. I learned that even though the Industrial Revolution was helpful to some by finding jobs, it was also bad for our Earth because of all of the pollution. When they said the city turned black, they said it was because of the coal factories. I am very glad that Child Labor is now illegal in America, but I wish we could have stopped pollution before it got very bad.
