But the artificial machines created pollution and children still needed to work harder than they should. This caused health problems and pollution in the air we breathe. In the first video, hearing that they only made 30 cents a week, and even less than grown-ups, is very devastating. After all of the hard work the children had to go through, then barely enough to put one meal on the table is just horrible. In the second video, when the ten year old girl was speaking, it was very sad that they had to work from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., with only a half-hour break for food. I learned that even though the Industrial Revolution was helpful to some by finding jobs, it was also bad for our Earth because of all of the pollution. When they said the city turned black, they said it was because of the coal factories.
