I understand the brief well and hope to make a good website, we started out by creating a mind map on popplet - This is on my work padlet, we went over the brief and things we could want to put on the website it is quite detailed and I will be using my mind map to help me build my website later on. We then moved onto some Secondary research and I looked at some existing sites, and took screenshots so I can review them later and say what I like and don't like. I also found some helpful graphs that show how helpful some of these website builders are. I then moved onto some Primary research I also looked at the Wix website builder and looked at all of the components I also explored the different ways of building the websites there are two ways - Wix ADI this is something that builds the website for you and the other option is the normal Wix in which you do it all yourself and can choose from templates, colours, drag things around etc. I will probably do it this way due to the fact I was free rein over my website and how it looks.

  • Knowing that we have to check the mobile site as well to see if we like it. 
  • Knowing how to keep the same theme all over/background so it will be on all pages. 
The rest of the video was a bit boring since I've used Wix before, after this, a group of me and a few others did a survey online together on survey monkey the reason for doing this was so we could get more reponses and therfore get better results, we then went on to do our own smaller questionnaires based on what fonts we were deciding on using, colour scheme and I chose some website templates that I liked I also looked through this site which has free fonts for ideas and styles that I liked [ and asked the people who did my questionnaire to look at them and choose the one they best like the layout of. I will write up this part of my research at home, and look at results from survey monkey tomorrow so we can get a good range of responses. 

Tomorrow I will be using the logos I design at home to come up with some ideas of how I want it to really look like, I will also be looking at doing a moodboard, and perhaps the flat plan since I did the mindmap I have an idea of how I want my website to look. 

Today did go as planned (mostly - Only due to not having macs but this didn't affect me too much) and I hope to get a lot of work done tomorrow.

I also did a little timeline on how I came up with my idea and developed it further and some of the experiments that I did that wen't wrong. I then did the project proposal and finished that and posted it to padlet.

On Wednesday I will have my flatplan done, and moodboard since I will be doing work at home, I have to write up a little section of Primary research from Survey Monkey which I'll do tomorrow. Apart from that I am on for starting my website on Thursday/Friday next week. 

Today went well with no actual issues, I feel as if I did a lot of work today and worked to a good standard, it was slighty hard to do the proposal due to the fact there wasn't a lot to write at times. We had some trouble getting to computers so that was the main issue of today, I also went and took pictures outside with a few other students for the website since I already had a few pictures for my website that I took at home but I wanted to add more to the website so I decided on this, to make my website better. We also did a pitch in front of a member of staff and showed off our mood boards, we also did the timeline to ensure that I was able to plan effectively.
