Recognized by fans for his dark and dirty bass heavy productions of dub, yet soulful, funky, bass heavy, dark techno music, sound system culture, and dancing energy that he brings to his performances.

"I’m a dancer. I don’t dance during my sets to show off, it’s just me, an expression of what I do. I’m on the settee for three days after. My back’s gone, hip gone. But because I love it and I don’t do it so often – I do 26 gigs a year, that’s it – I’m soon ready to get back into it again.” (Worthy, S. 2020)

This energy and passion alongside his style of production is what inspires me most about this artist.

Mr G's tracks usually consist of the MPC 2000XL which he uses in such a way that he can rock a room full of people for over 2 hours on basically 32 MB of data.

"I’ve worked on the MPC, and then spent two years locked away in a box learning the machine.

Jamaica, the birthplace of the ‘remix,’ boasts some of the world’s most talented musicians. Among them is King Tubby, whose legendary studio produced countless brilliant dub tracks. Despite many of these dubs remaining unheard by the public, King Tubby’s talent for remixing and remastering earned him global fame. His legacy continued to thrive even after he was assassinated in a robbery attempt outside his Waterhouse home on February 6, 1989. His influence on artists is immeasurable, with many finally finding his work only after his death. Osbourne Ruddock or otherwise knon as “King Tubby” remains a true legend in the realm of Dub music, leaving an unforgettable mark on the world of electronic dance music.
