I resulted to not going out as much and not really talking to anyone. I didn't convey my issues to my parents so they saw it as an attitude problem. 

This relates to my topic because my lack of communication made my parents misunderstand me. Rather than expressing how we really felt with one another, we'd more so argue. Eventually, the friendship was no longer a positive part of my life. 

This relates to my theme because if we would have talked more with one another we might have stayed friends. I have very different views than them. I expressed to them that I'd prefer these topics weren't brought up because if they were I wouldn't spend time with them anymore.
