Montag initially is fireman who is sure he is doing the right thing. His mindset changes over the course of the story, and he could be called insane at some points.

I believe Nicholas Cage would be great for this role, because he can easily switch back in forth from playing saneness, and madness. "All of my characters have a bit of madness"

Faber

Faber is described in the book as an old man who was a former English teacher, which was later outlawed. He is very paranoid, and refuses to leave his home.

I believe Ian McKellen would fit this role well because he can fit most roles very well.

Captain Beatty

Captain Beatty is the main antagonist, besides society, in the book. Beatty is intelligent, but believes wholeheartedly that books must be destroyed to keep peace.

I believe Mel Gibson would be very good at this role because he can play antagonists quite well, and is about the age and appearance that I pictured Beatty to be.

Hello producer I write to you with an idea. I believe you should make Fahrenheit 451 a movie, and I have many reasons why.
In Fahrenheit 451, the main character, Guy Montag, lives in a futuristic society in which books are illegal, and those who read them are killed. Montag is a fireman, one of the workers who burns the books that are discovered. But when Montag starts to wonder why they are burning books, it sets off a series event in the city that make for an excellent read. Fahrenheit 451 has a huge fan base. It's considered one of Ray Bradbury's greatest works, and is a classic. It has sold a total of over 10 million copies, now selling 50,000 a month. The rest of this page will give more information.

Mildred is the wife of Montag. She wants society to stay the same, though she takes depression medication. She later betrays Montag once he starts reading books and working with Faber

I think Jennifer Aniston would do well with this part because she is close to the same age, and does well with most parts she plays.

At this point in the story, Montag has just killed Captain Beatty in self defense, and has fled the city, pursued by the police and fire department. Montag escapes and follows train tracks through the woods before he meets the travelling professors.

At this point in the story, Mildred betrays Montag, telling the fire department what he's been doing, and then leaves him. He is then made to burn down his own house. Everything he loves is falling apart.

This song would work well for this part because it is a sad sounding song.

Missing Scene

I believe that one scene that should be added in is one in which Montag meets Clarisse again, and learns she wasn't hit by a car, and instead, taken into custody by the government for having so many "radical" ideas. This could take place when Montag goes to Faber's for the last time before leaving the city. Faber could have somehow found Clarisse, and her and Montag flee the city together.

Short Theme Writing

I believe what Bradbury was trying to say was that eventually, this is how society could be. I feel he wrote this book partly as a warning, and it looks right now as if this could very well be our future. We already have technology like that in the book, such as the mechanical hound, large televisions, etc.
