Online friends are very easy to make, just go to a website where people make online friends and there you have it, an online friend to chat to. Whereas, making real life friends isn’t all that easy. For example, when you first go to a a new school etc., people are always afraid of being judged by people they see every day. That makes it hard for that person to make friends. Unlike online friends, real friends can keep you company. You can hang out with them physically, share hobbies...Your real friend would know you very well so they can help you in time of need, and also give you advice. This also makes it easier to make true friends out of your real friends. Having real life friends would also brighten up your life, and you can lead to a more healthy and happy life with real friends.

Families are spending more time together than before. But not together-together. Alone-together. A lot of this alone-together time is taken up by tech. New technology offers children independence from their parents’ involvement in their social lives, with the use of mobile phones, instant messaging, and social networking sites. Parents, in turn, see it as a loss of connection to their children and an inability to maintain reasonable oversight, for the sake of safety and overall health, of their children’s lives.

At the same time, perhaps a bit cynically, children’s time-consuming immersion in technology may also mean that parents don’t have to bother with entertaining their children, leaving them more time to themselves.
There is little doubt that technology is affecting family relationships on a day-to-day level.Parents can be equally guilty of contributing to the distance that appears to be increasing in families. They are often wrapped up in their own technology, for example, talking on their mobile phones, checking email, or watching TV, when they could be talking to, playing with, or generally connecting with their children.
