- Philadelphia Convention; included James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay,  and George Washington
- These men were patriots who wanted a nationalist agenda in order to have a stronger country. 
-55 delegates met over the course of four months to discuss. On September 17th, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed.

- Most of these people were highly educated, and have previously been politically involved. Many of them are wealthy and some have been in the military.
- The meeting was held in the capital of Hanoi, in which 498 members of the unicameral body of the National Assembly met and revised the constitution.
