I think that Peg is a daredevil. She is very courageous. She keeps wanting to do things that she pretty much knows will get her hurt, like the wheelies in the wheelchair. Although it does sound fun, it is probably not a good thing to do for someone who is still really weak from polio.

HAPPY THIRTEENTH BIRTHDAY
Wow, I think it’s really weird that when she thinks about what’s to come, peg thinks about wheelchairs, and leg braces and possibly walking. Most people would not think that at all! But Happy. Birthday to Peg! It was kind of sad when she talked about and than even sadder when Alice said she’d never been to a birthday party! I mean like What!? Those birthday celebrations were really cool, it sounds like the dad is a photographer. Pegs roommates are pretty great! Oh, wow, miss Ballard is pretty awesome if she’s saying no more hot packs! And nice soothing baths instead!? Even with out Tommy and Dr. Bevis, I think this place is better. Ugh, that marble exercise sound soooo, boring!

DANCING THE HULA, POPPING A WHEELIE
Yes! She stood! I can’t believe it, it’s awesome. Hahahahah, is all I want to say about the hula part. But anyway, yay!
Walking sticks for Peg! Wow, peg is really getting far with healing, is amazing and wonderful and I really want to like finish this book today!!!! Ha, that’s kinda funny about the supermarket under the bed. Ha. Dr. Bevis! Awesome, he’s by far the best, doctor anyone would ever have.

A DISAPPOINTING TRIP
Alice songs!? And I think that Alice and Peg are definitely becoming friends. Ahh! She’s going home, yay!!! She’s home, this is great, but by the chapter name I’m guessing g it’s not always going to be this way 😔 that trip sounded really sad, I really badly feel bad for Peg 😔

These were some great chapters. I am so glad Doctor Bevis came to visit her. She was so surprised, and I am very glad that he came. I cannot believe that Alice had never been to a birthday party, It was probably like Ada in The War That Saved My Life where she did not even know her birthday because her parents did not want ther or like her at all. That is really sad, everybody here should be really happy that they have their parents who love them, unlike Alice or Ada. I think that the exercise where Peg had to move those marbles would tire me out, that would seem almost useless. Why would Peg have to do that if you could just pour them all into the other container? If that were me that is what I would think. I am so glad that Peg finally stood on her own. All those exercises paid off and now she can stand on her own with no support for a little while, and I am so happy for her. Soom, she will be able to walk with walking sticks, and it will be easier. I can't believe that she tried to dance the Hula, she can't even walk and she is trying to dance a complicated dance. I am so glad that peg is going to get those walking sticks, she might actually learn to walk with those and also maybe when she is totally better she will actually learn to dance the hula. That would be cool. I think that Peg had a big character change, she is taking a lot of risks, Hula, Popping a wheelie, and getting into her wheelchair in the dark, just to give her friends cookies. But, that one also proves that she is getting stronger, she can get in and out of her wheelchair in the dark now, and that would be useful if she had to go the bathroom. I think that Peg is going to get hurt while doing a Pop-a-wheelie, because she is so confident that she will not get hurt. She thinks that it is so easy, so sometime she is going to get hurt. Or, she is going to get hurt in one of the other risky tricks that she does. I cannot believe that Alice can sing! How did she learn to do that?????? MAybe she was just born with natural talent, because where would she have gotten singing lessons if she went to the hospital when she was three? I don't think they would do singing lessons for children who are that young, and so it had to just be natural talent. I really want to finish this book now, it is getting so good!!!!!!!!

I don't know what Peg's character traits are. She is a daredevil, I wouldn't say it makes her brave, honestly kind of careless. What if she gets hurt? Why on earth would she try to do the hula?! That was probably not the smartest idea, even though I am happy that she stood up, and can get to her wheelchair by herself!

A few years ago I went to Hawaii and took a hula class. It was kind of awkward, because we had to wear tube-tops and grass skirts, but it was also kind of fun. But why would PEG try to do it when she just learned how to stand up?!

I think that Peg is a little to brave, because she likes to pop wheelies with her wheelchair. She doesn't even think about what happens if it goes back to far.
SHE FELL TRYING TO DO THE HULA!!! I was actually laughing out loud and my brother asked me what is funny, so I told him and he didn't find it funny.
Peg can now stand up, that is amazing for her. I can't believe she thought she could stand up enough to dance the hula.
I think Peg had a great party and I was astounded that Alice had never ever been to a birthday party, or even a party to be more exact. I thought that she would have had a party when she turned two or three. Maybe she has been to a party but doesn't remember any parties.

I am so happy that Pegs parents came to celebrate her birthday. It was the first birthday party Alice had ever been to, and it was good. I am glad that the parents are so caring because the hospital needs them.
THE HOLLA? A WHEELIE?
O Peg! Wow. She tried to do the holla, and I doubt it but, the wheelie could not end well. I would be scared to just stand but the holla? O Peg.
I also thought the marbles were funny. It reminded me of insignificant events in the life of a cactus. And all the stuff under the bed. They really are having a good time, now that Peg is here.
I am so happy Peg stood today. I hope there is walking without sticks in her future.
