My name is Maliyah Pettaway, and I’m excited to share a bit about myself with you. I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. I’m always open to trying new things and experiencing different places. I am a junior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in supply chain. After graduating, I hope to get an MBA.  I’m not exactly sure where my career will take me, but I aim to succeed. While being here at TSU, I’ve gotten to connect with many companies.

When I’m not working or studying, I enjoy traveling to new places, immersing myself in different cultures, and trying new activities. I also love reading, photography, and volunteering. This year I hope to try a few things like pottery and axe throwing.

One of the most unusual experiences in my life was when I had some of my poetry published. It was a difficult yet rewarding experience that I never would’ve expected. I can’t say I love writing as much anymore, but I’m glad it was something I accomplished.

From this course, I hope to gain more knowledge about effective management. I look forward to learning the differences between managing employees & organizations.
