Have you ever wondered if Percy Jackson and his father be united? When Percy was born his father left him and went back to Olympus to help his brother Zeus. Before Percy Jackson knew who he truly was, he was a student at Yancy Academy Boarding School. During his time at school, he meets one of his friends Grover that was a satyr and led Percy to Camp Half-Blood where most demigods stayed from the outside world. There he started hearing voices in his head. Those voices were his father, Poseidon. Whenever Percy needed to help the voice or Poseidon helps him. Since so many problems relating to the gods had occurred,Percy and his father shouldn't reunite.

Some opponents might contend that Percy Jackson should be reunited with his father, Poseidon.This, however should not happen. As stated in the book, Poseidon has little care for Percy, as he was claimed at Camp Half-Blood, while others had to wait their entire lives to be claimed. But this only happened for one reason, Poseidon only claimed Percy Jackson because he was his last resort to try and stop the war. The war was between the 3 brothers Poseidon,Zeus,and Hades. According to page 341, Poseidon said he admitted his wrong doing which was Percy,which shows Poseidon has little care for Percy.The sacred rule states that the gods can't not be with their children because they aren't gods like them and are not fully immortals.If the rule is broken it may cause Poseidon to go to Tartarus for breaking the sacred rule. This is why Poseidon shouldn't meet Percy and only communicate with him through his head.

In conclusion,Percy and his father can't and shouldn't reunite because Poseidon can break the sacred rule according to page 341.Though Poseidon has little care for Percy,he still helped him on his quests as well as finding the lightning thief.For the future for the gods to be in peace,Percy would have to stay on earth to do all the tasks they are assigned and cannot be with his father.Even though his father can't be with him,Poseidon is still able to talk to Percy in Percy's head.In that case,it would be better if Percy and his father if they don't reunite otherwise there would be many problems involving Poseidon to be banished.

In the beginning, after Percy found out that he was the son of a god,he wanted to meet him. Little did he know that there is a rule about the gods that they can't meet their children or see them in real life. According to the text on page 340-341,he wanted to give the lightning bolt to Zeus, but Zeus was mad at Poseidon because he led Percy to Mount Olympus and had broken the sacred rule. Zeus said that if the god's children had united with them they would cause a serious problem that can't be tolerated. Before they met they realized that there are more problems in the mortal world. Therefore, Percy can't reunite with his father otherwise,it can cause disasters.
Afterward,Percy shouldn't reunite with his father because of the rules in Mount Olympus. This rule makes sense since it may cause chaos between Percy and the gods..Not even Hercules was able to go to Mount Olympus.To clarify,if Percy wanted to see his father he would have find out a way to become immortal or be a god.According to page 340,when Percy stepped foot in Mount Olympus Zeus was furious and didn't want him there.Any half-blood or human are not allowed to see the gods unless if really necessary.To clarify,In order for things to go well and to prevent chaos,Poseidon and his son Percy or Perseus can't not see each other.Which means Percy would have to live his life without his father.In times of need his father will be there in his head guiding him.
