Step 3:

-Ensure aides can maintain a safe environment

-Discuss playground and indoor safety guidelines, emergency drills (fire, lockdown, shelter-in-place, first aid basics and illness protocols

Step 4:

-Assign mentors, and explain daily routines

-A checklist will be used as employee is observed, it would include:

• Active supervision

• Interaction with children

• Following routines and safety practices

• Participation in curriculum activities

-A review of training performance will be discussed and feedback will be given as well
