Another reason I have for choosing the Ottoman empire was because in middle school we looked into it a little bit but not much so I wanted to learn more. 

    Going into researching about the Ottoman empire I thought that the amount of land would owned by the Ottoman empire would be smaller and take longer to get to a large empire. It surprised me though how quickly the Ottoman empire grew, in some cases it would double in size under one ruler. 

    I learned that the Ottoman empire once had a very wide variety of culture and art. Also that the Ottoman empire started from a small nomadic Turkish tribe.

    I thought that the Ottoman empire formed by breaking of from another country but actually it was from a Turkish nomadic tribe.
