I used a different technique using the door the frame my dog! This gives a better outlook view on the subject but frames her nicely!

Hand sized pinched pot. created the bowl shape first and flare out the opening. Added three little feet (Tri- pod). The Dipped Glaze it in June Berry Red.

Experimented on the wheel and created this vase shape with a rim around the middle. Then added a rim foot on the bottom. I used three different Glazes. Fake Ash, Amber and Dark brown.

Created a smaller vase on the wheel, it has no foot because unfortunately it had dried too quicky before I could put one on. I glazed it Amber and dark brown which turned out to be this cool color.

When creating this stamp, I wanted to do something different than my initials. I used my Chinese name Yi Jincui. and this is the symbol for Yi in Chinese.

I was excited to do the Raku Firing in class so I created a Plate mold out of Soldate. and I glazed it the Rainbow mystery blue color.

I created this pot using a coil method using soldate clay. this pot is over 14 inches high and probably weighs over 4 pounds. I used a green Glaze for the Raku firing and carved leaves and a panda into the pot

here are close-up pictures of the design I created. and what the base and inside appear to be.

I wanted to create bamboo leaves and branches around the pot as a panda sits in the middle of the forest of bamboo. Then I carved a swirl design on the top of the pot to appear more interesting as if the top section is swearing tightly around the neck of the pot

Bisque Fire pinch pot with round feet at the bottom. Unfortunately the piece broke in the kiln and wasnt able to glaze it.

Due to my third pinch pot breaking, I created a new one with a cat in the middle of it. when drying one of the cats arm broke off and I had to reattach it with slip. then after it was fired I glazed it with two separate glazes. The base was nutmeg and the cat is black.

As i experimented with the wheel a bit more, this is my largest piece I've created from the wheel. Using 6 pounds of Bimix clay I created a large vase/ bowl. Then attached a dragon wrapping its self around and craving leaves on the pot. I glazed it the daragon the darkest red, and then completely glazed the entire thing with a dark green

20 Tiles

I created 20 tiles with different patterns. On the top is Soldate Clay and on the bottom row is Bimix clay. Then Glazed each one swapping sides. you can see how the differnt glazes react to the differnt types of clay.
