In 2016, my father was always there for me showing his love through actions, sacrifices, and silent support. But I never told him how much I loved or appreciated him. I was afraid or maybe just unsure how to express those feelings.

Sadly, I never got that second chance with him. But his passing taught me the value of expressing love while we still can. Since then, I’ve made an effort to show affection and gratitude to the people I care about especially my family.

Now, I’m more open with my emotions. I don’t wait for the “right time” to say something meaningful. I’ve noticed that this change brought me closer to others and created stronger relationships.

I changed. I didn’t want to carry the same regret I had with my father into other relationships. His memory taught me that silence can sometimes hurt more than words.
