You may want to click on each to preview their story, but do not spend more than 2-3 minutes before you choose someone. Click on the picture below to go to the website.


Once you have chosen the person you want to follow, your job is to read their story, listen to their interview, and create a  BAMS newletter article introducing this person to our school. Your article must include interesting information about them, such as:

Their name, country they came from, their family members
Where they live in the United States, what their parents do, what grade they are in Similarities they describe between their country and the U.S. Differences they describe between their country and the U.S. Anything else you think may be important, but is not part of the information above! Remember you are writing to introduce them to our school community!  (If some of this information is not in their article, include whatever you think other students would want to know about where they're from, or what their impressions are of the U.S. so far).
Finally, draw his/her picture in the space provided.

For your Tenement Museum experience, you will:

• Identify your immigrant,
• List the three items you would bring with you to your new homeland AND explain why;
• answer each of the questions with clear information from the website
• write a postcard to Victoria, either on the worksheet, or you may type a word document that you may print out and attach (at home or in the Media Center during homeroom). DO NOT email her!
