I. Aims

1. To help students acquire basic knowledge of Science.

2. To help students develop a scientific way of learning.

3. To develop students' awareness of and concern for scientific issues in personal, social, environmental and technological contexts.

II. Objectives

1. To arouse and cultivate students' interest in learning Science.

2. To encourage student to participate actively in the activities organized by the Science Club.

3. To promote the use of IT in learning Science.

4. To understand scientific knowledge through experiments.

5. To provide opportunity for the development of the constructive, explorative and inventive faculties of the students.

6. To make the students understand the values of time and to help them in the proper utilization to their leisure hours.

7. To create interest in latest inventions and discoveries of science in various fields and to get acquainted with the life history and contributions of great scientists.

8. To develop students, interest and participation in the practical application of the knowledge related to different branches of sciences.

9. To create interest in scientific facts and events related to one's surroundings.

10. To develop training in scientific method of problem solving.

Every one had participated in the prolonged discussion involved with introduction of science club members, students intentions of opting to join science club and the tentative plan of science club activities in the coming months upto March 2014.

Mr. Mahajan would create a group on edmodo and would invite the members to join this group. Students would be posting their reflections on this group. Even teachers are free to put their comments and reflections in it.

To start with the activities, the group was given a chemistry fun experiment named " Disappearing blue"

The procedure is attached here. Students were asked to research what would the scientific reason of disappearing blue colour and its recurrence on shaking.

Students were seem to have enjoyed this activity.
