Musical instruments include lots of plucking strings, flute, and percussion. Percussion is used lots for festivals. There is lots of music based off of religion. When I first heard this music I was surprised by how dark it sounds. It really is not upbeat.

Mount Fuji is an active volcano. People can climb it between the months of July and September. It last erupted in 1707 and is Japan’s tallest peak (3,776 meters). It is also considered one of three sacred mountains. I think it is very interesting that people are actually allowed to climb an active volcano, especially because it hasn’t erupted in a long time.

It is the tallest structure in Japan and the second tallest in the world. It recently opened in 2012. There are 35 floors and is 634 meters. I already knew about this prior to this and it is on my bucket list to go and see it, even if it is not open.
