Anne went to “visit” the Van Daans and they talked about Peter. Anne explains how she doesn’t like that he strokes her cheeks as she doesn’t like being pawed by boys.

Anne and her mom had an argument and she told Anne’s dad just what she thought of her. Anne told her dad she likes him more than her mom and she doesn’t think she will ever like her mom more.

Anne says “Mrs. Van Daan is unbearable. I get nothing but “blow-ups” from her for my continuous chatter.” But on the same page she was trying to keep her son from not eating (even though he didn’t want to eat) while his dad was disciplining him for reading a book that wasn’t allowed to be read by the children in the Annex.

She talks about not having enough privacy, and not having an actual shower/bathtub. It reminds me of when I was living in a van with my parents and siblings and not being able to take actual showers or baths because my grandma didn’t like my mom and brothers so she wouldn’t let them in the house, but she allowed me and my dad in the house. We refused to go inside if my mom and brothers weren’t allowed to do what they needed to do as well as me and my dad. She eventually gave up and let us all inside.
