I would be Loyalist. I think the King helped the colonists survive and the least they could do is pay taxes.

I would be a patriot because the king had never even seen the colonies and didn't understand the struggles that the colonists had. In the beginning the British parliament didn't care. King George the III only started showing interest in the colonies after getting caught up in an expensive and silly war. Why should we be punished for his foolish action? especially without any representatives in parliament! We are not subjects of Great Britain so it makes sense to break away from them permanently.

When we Loyalists came to the 13 colonies, there was no king. So we brought a king with us to organize us. We had also fought in a war, so we made taxes to replenish the money we lost. So pay those taxes you rebel patriots.

The patriots may have no say in the government, but, they never had one in the first place. The taxes are to help replenish the money we lost in the French and Indian war. Some of the taxes are: tea tax, stamp act, Quartering act and many more. Tea tax above.

I understand the Loyalists and I hear the people who don't want war. Even so without it we will all run short on money and we won't be able to return to Great Britain ( Or survive here.). The Lobsterbacks will leave us with nothing. We would live like animals in the woods ,scavenging for whatever we can find. The war will be deadly but without it we will be nothing. We must help the patriots and their cause. If we don't act soon then there will be nothing left to fight for.

I found a change of heart. I still have respect for the loyalists but the king has taxed us on one too many things lately. On top of that,we have no say in the government. No taxation without representation I say!
