Younger children will understand what is expected of them. Understanding the consequences of their behaviour. Respecting the class rules and those around them. Understand what good and bad behaviour is. Children will understand what to expect from the adults and other children around them and understand when behaviour is not appropiate. Become more confident when approaching adults with any issues or problems they may have within school or outside of school. Code of conduct within the school, pupils understanding what is expected of them and it is carried out consistently throughout the school, by the teachers and pupils. Understanding why ground rules are important. Children also choosing their rules for their own classroom and setting out their own expectations. If the behaviour management and rules are consistent throughout the school, children will respond more postively.
