In the previous experiment, the hot glass had the food coloring in it move faster. The food coloring in the cold glass moved very slowly, so the same can be assumed here. Therefore, we can say that hot current's molecules move faster, and the cold water moves very slowly. Because of this, pollution spreads in hot currents very fast, and very slowly in cold currents. However, with the cold currents heating up, the pollution is spreading much faster. The cold currents heating up has been caused by global warming, and many animals will die because of this.</div>]]></description>

Ocean Currents are caused by convection and the heating of the ocean. With Global Warming taking place, it's starting to change the currents of the water, therefore changing the ecosystem. For example, in the article, "Climate change harms ocean 'hot spots'"  Hot spots where animals thrive, are now being effected by the warming of the planet. Penguins are dying because of the shortage on krill, the krill are dying because of the ocean getting cooler in the areas where they once thrived. The ecosystem tends to set a chain reaction every time it's altered. One species could lead to the next, changing the it every time.</div>]]></description>

"Hot spots" known as the world's natural underwater super zoo, are home to many varieties of aquatic animals. Many of these animals enjoy their homes now but because of global warming, soon their homes will be destroyed. The hot spots are a problem why global warming is affecting the ocean. Hot spots are hot currents of water and it states in the article, "But they also create green house gases. These gases trap the heat in the air." In hot water molecules move faster because it has more energy than cold water and pollution can move faster through the hot water. Cold water has less energy which makes it much slower to spread pollution. Global warming will spread faster because of the warm water.</div>]]></description>

Even though scientists have been able to find places in the ocean with most kinds of sea life in the world. These places are in danger because of global warming and scientists have confirmed that these hot spots are called biodiversity. Based on recent studies global warming has been warming up our Earth each and every time when we use fuels that make energy which turns into greenhouse gases. All of this warmth that has been created is being trapped and caused oceans to become much warmer than before. For example, Penguins like to eat krill which is a small fish that lives in cold water because of this many of them are dying and Penguins do not have enough to eat. Global warming has been a great danger and we must make sure to understood cold ocean currents and warm currents and what effects could be caused.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It is important to understand the hot and cold ocean currents because it helps scientists predict where climate change may happen next. Ocean currents play a dominant role in sea life. Like in the food coloring and water lesson, we saw that the food coloring blended faster in the "hot" cup, since the molecules move fast. Once the earth gets hotter due to global warming, the ocean will become warmer as well, and will keep getting hotter due to convection, like we learned in the food coloring lesson. Due to this fact, animals who are used to living in a specific temperature will die. Because of this, scientists need to learn about hot and cold ocean currents so that they will know where is going to heat up next. Sea animals are disappearing at an alarming rate, and if we do not stop this, all the animals in the ocean will disappear as well.</div>]]></description>
