1.  "Will you accuse a lady to her face of her smelling bad."(Faulkner 820)
2. "They were not surprised when the smell developed."(Faulkner 820)
3. "They broke open the cellar door and sprinkled lime there."(Faulkner 820)
All three of these examples relate directly to how the house smelt. And in the last quote it shows how the men got rid of the smell.

(Faulkner 820) This image relates to "A Rose for Emily" because the four men sneak around her house to get an idea of what the smell is. They went to get rid of the smell with Lime.
