Cloning in Cultivation

Many modern-day technologies are used to develop industrial foods and produce the foods we commonly see at a local grocery store or market. Do you know how many chickens are killed each year to produce meat in just the U.S? Don't these statistics seem odd, considering chickens haven't yet been extinct like many other species:
- Total number died for food: 8.13 billion (7.67 billion for meat, 458 million for eggs)
- Average number killed per American meat-eater: 27.5 (26 for meat, 1.5 for eggs)
- Average number consumed per American lifetime: 2,147 (2,028 for meat, 120 eggs)
A simple explanation: Industrial cloning and mass production. Without our beloved food industries, all the chickens would've already have gone extinct. Consumers are at risk because the clones aren't organic or fit for consumption.

An Abundance of Clones

From household items to food we consume each and everyday, cloned organisms can be found everywhere and are slowly taking over what we believe is humane and ethical. Cloning is seen as an act of industrial manipulation, used in many of our food resources for convenience and cheap costs, yet it is harmful. Small imbalances in the food production can harm the consumer or anyone who decides to eat the food. Genetically modified crops are also repeatedly cloned to produce more animal feed for livestock, which could indirectly harm the consumer...which is really scary.

Cloning interferes with many religious beliefs and moral ethics, it is the creation of a new organism through the method of science, which diminishes the fact that life is a very precious thing and if it can be created at an abundance, then it lowers it's value. Cloning also reduces diversity and takes away the qualities of a person, taking away their special characteristics and sense of individuality. Additionally, clones shouldn't be created if everyone already knows that it will most likely die of several genetic diseases and have to go through a lot of pain and suffering in it's existence.

We believe that cloning is harmful to organisms and also can greatly interfere with people's beliefs, which is considered sacrilegious. Organisms that are cloned will most likely suffer with a numerous amount of genetic diseases and die very quickly. Cloning should be considered unethical and immoral for all living organisms.
