Based on observations and deductions above, evaluating if the company's claims are true.

Students are to investigate the claim of a soap powder company (instant removal of oil stains at all temperatures). Deductive approach - there is some content knowledge taught first through the first few activities, then students investigate.

Inductive approach where students are tasked to find out how this miracle E-washing powder works to remove oil stains at different temperatures. They are supposed to discuss and come to a conclusion on how temperature affects the enzymes activity

Hands-on minds-on approach: Students will be carrying out the experiment prior to learning the concept of effect of temp. on enzyme activity. This presents an authentic context for students to discover the theory in a meaningful way. Additionally, they are also role-playing and investigating a case scenario, which may pique their interest and appeal to their intrinsic motivation.
