It is about the civil rights movement. It is a historacal fiction book about a little girl named Marley, who is very shy. One day Marley meets a girl, named liz. Liz and Marley hit it off amazing! I have never seen a friendship like theirs. One day when Liz is caught passing for white, she is in grave danger and had to leave Marley without a good-bye. Marley and Liz learn that a friendship is one of the most imprtant things on this Universe.  They learn to make sacrifices bigger than I could have ever imagined. Most importantly, they learned how it felt to have someone to talk to even when times are hard. Marley and Liz go on adventures to solve mysteries, problems, and much more. If you decide to read this book I will warn you it can get intense at some points, but if you keep on going, you will be in for a shock. I promise you will love this book!
