In the fire service the main skills one would need to be a great commander is: Fire safety, Building construction and search and rescue. these skills are needed because for an example if a fire took place in a hotel, there is obviously going to be a lot of staff and a lot of citizens who are staying there, this means that a fire fighter need safety of the fire so they don't get hurt themselves, they would also need building construction intel, to work out which parts of the building they think would be safest to enter first, and further more they would also need search and rescue intelligence because if people are stuck and are in need of saving, the firefighters are the right people for the job.
If someone was to become a specialist in any of the services they would need a specific skill set. for example, they would need BA ( specialist equipment), They would also need hazard materials, high ropes, medical response and trauma care. Reasons for why they need all of these skills is because for example, a lot of the service's see things that they would do anything to unseen them again and this can cause PTSD, therefore they have been influenced in a lot of trauma and need help getting over this.

Dany Cotton who lives in Kent down south, had to travel to Kensington which is one hour and 7minutes away in the car, using a blue light to make sure that she got to Grenfell in time to use her authoritarian leadership style, telling her firefighters She also had amazing courage and credibility as an officer. Had loyalty and respect off her firefighters as they stayed until the fire was put out completely. She has trust, loyalty, discipline, morale, motivation and respect. reasons for why is because ...
*no firefighters died and managed to rescue 65 people.
* took her breathing apparatus off to give to others and water bottles
*She still sent her fire fighters in to rescue people even when she knew they would need trauma care afterwards.
Dany Cotton showed masses of motivation towards her fire fighters and as is her firefighters. She showed motivation because if she didn’t her fire fighters wouldn’t have gone into Grenfell to rescue the amount of people they did. Demotivation wasn’t shown throughout the mission to find and rescue the citizens of Grenfell, and this is because Dany cotton stayed and showed motivation until the fire was completely out. She used her breathing apparatus and gave it to those who needed it more, she handed out water bottles for hours for those who needed it.
