Humans are inherently greedy, and freedom would allow them to perform in any way they want. Also, with no one to enforce laws and maintain order, there could be a risk of violence and chaos. I think that without a government, people would treat each other differently and not always be “equal and independent”. Laws and the government keep people in place, and while they do not control people directly, they tell them what is right and wrong and people are punished for not obeying the law. No, I don’t think that regular people would treat everyone as if they were “equal and independent” because due to people being greedy they would do everything to benefit themselves. If there were no police, army, leaders, laws, or courts the world would anyways end up having leaders and groups and the want of needing more.

 I think the government needs to have a structured and lawful life. Even if people state the Natural Law as the law there would be no consequences if these laws would be broken. The government ( police, army, leaders, laws, courts ) are needed to keep a structured life. However, it is difficult to say if people would how people would treat each other in the absence of a government. It's also possible that the absence of a government could lead to a breakdown in social order, with people resorting to violence, theft, or other forms of criminality when there is no form of leadership, consequence or government.

I think the government plays an important role in teaching people how to act better and be more moral people by making rules and enforcing them, however, I also believe that society itself contributes to making people better. People in society such as teachers, nurses and professors help educate children and young adults and influence them to learn what the government defines as right and wrong. However, they also teach children to think more critically and develop their own ideas. Yes, the government needs to have the consent of the people because if they don’t it can turn into a dictatorship and the people will start fearing the government as well as the people that the government is protecting them from. If people get to decide what the government does there will be fewer people unhappy.

I think that the government needs to have the consent of the people because otherwise democracy becomes a dictatorship in which the government rules and controls the people instead of improving and helping them. Since the government was made to protect our natural rights of life, liberty and property, their purpose is to protect people from harm without controlling them. However, if people do not want the government to do what they were formed to do but the government would still want power, it would turn into government vs. the people, which means the people would be fighting their own government who would abuse their power.

I think Locke is right when he says that the government can be overthrown by the people if they are corrupt, and the people can make a new one. If the government abuses its power and starts using it for things that benefit themselves instead of the people, then they are not doing their job anymore. Instead of protecting the people's natural rights and ensuring their liberty and safety, they use their power for corruption and benefiting themselves. In a powerful position, when people experience what it is like having all the power, they can become greedy and abuse their power for more power and wealth. When this happens, the people should have the right to overthrow the government and make a new one who can do their job correctly without corruption.

Governments do play an important role in shaping society and the morals and values people share. However, people and institutions outside of government also play an important role in shaping society. For example, families, schools, religious institutions, and community organizations can all play a role in creating positive moral values and good behavior. While the government can play a role in promoting moral behavior through laws and regulations, it is ultimately up to individuals and communities to take responsibility for their own behavior.

 Locke’s theory has had major influence on the government and has had a major contribution to political processes. I agree with Lockwoods theory because if the government decides about society then society therefore should have the right to voice their opinion and be protected of their natural rights.

John Locke's theory that if a government fails to protect people's natural rights, then the people have the right to overthrow it and establish a new government is based on the idea of popular sovereignty. I think that Locke’s idea allows individuals to defend their rights and fight back against people who abuse their power.
