From my view Roald Dahl is one of the most important writers in the world. I adore him and his books. I read Matilda and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I didn’t read all of his books but I would like to read all of his books as soon as possible. But I can say that his books are really enjoyable,interesting and flawless. His writing style is incredibly perfect. I think everyone should read his books. I want to be a successful writer like him in the future.

1. Dahl wrote many of his stories in a little shed at the bottom of his garden

Known as his ‘writing hut’, Dahl sat in a battered old armchair and penned famous tales such as Matilda and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

2. He was a fighter pilot in World War II

During a flight in a Gloster Gladiator (fighter plane) in 1940 over Libya, Dahl crash landed in the desert and survived – all because he’d been given the wrong directions!

3. Dahl wrote for around four hours every single day

From 10am – 12pm, and then 4pm – 6pm

4. He never learned how to type

Instead, Dahl preferred to do all his writing in an old red book in pencil.

5. When Roald Dahl died in 1990, he was buried with some of his favourite things

Hi ! For me, my favorite work by Roald Dahl is Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. It's a very good movie and I used to watch it all the time when I was a kid. I'm currently studying one of his work entitled Mathilda. I love this book because it talks about abuse or verbal violence that a yung child may experience. But It's funny to see a that it is disproportionate and out of touch with reality. A little girl of 5 years old can read a lot of books and be so mature and smart.

When they grew up, they were able to read by themselves and together we watched his films at the cinema. My favorite book (and movie of course) is Charlie and the chocolate factory. I've seen the movie at least a hundred times, because I really love the story. The protagonist is a poor boy who has not really a good life and who find a gold ticket, and this will be the chance of his life. I really enjoy the character of 🤬 Wonka, who is one of my favourite character because I love the actor, and how the character behave (he is crazy but it makes him touching) and I think Johnny Depp is the perfect actor for this role.

my favourite novels by Roald Dahl is fantastic Mr Fox : first, of all book Quentin Black illustrated, Mr fox is my favourite and the animations of the movie are amazing... but the writing is also very good : Mr fox can be read in 30 minutes, but Roald Dahl managed to create lovable character, despicable villain,and a story full of Twists and Turns in so little time... a big yes for me !

I like Dahl's short story entitled "The way up to heaven" which tells us about a married couple and more precisely the wife who has a mortifying fear of missing her plane. Her husband does everything to slow her down and enjoys seeing her panicking. He decides to go back to their house saying he forgot something, but she knows he is lying. [Spoiler alert] It is implied that the husband got stuck in the elevator and that she left him in there, took her plane and came back weeks afterwards to find him dead in the elevator in which she had left him to starve. It's a macabre story but what I like about it is how we don't expect the ending and it isn't clearly said so we have to think to find out what happened. Also, it shows a dark side we wouldn't expect to find in this old lady. Everything about this story is unexpected.

I have recently started reading the stories of Roald Dahl.

And one of my favourite one is a story "Mr.Fox"This story very interesting,because in this story there are very exciting moments and twists.It tells the story of a cunning fox and his family living near farmers.Mr.Fox broke his promise to his wife and raided the farms of his neighbors,Boggis,Bans and Bean.Having succumbed to his animal instincts,not only his marriage but also the lives of his family and their animal friends are endangered.When farmers force Mr.Fox and company deep underground,he has to resort to rise above the opposition.

I find the plot of the story is quite exciting and convincing.

I recommend you to read "Fantastic Mr.Fox". You won’t be disappointed.

Recently , I Read a one of book which was written by the great British writer Roald Dahl. The name of this book is "James and the Giant Peach". The book was written in 1961. In the center of events is the boy - James. The plot begins with the scene when evil rhino , who espected from the zoo swallowed James parents. His life changed. He moves to live with his aunts , Pika and Plyukha , who give him work all the time , do not feed and humiliate. The boy is unhappy. But one day an incredibly strange thing happens to him , as a result of which a giant miracle peach grows on a peach tree in the yard. Together with huge insects on a peach , James sets off a journey across the Atlantic Ocean to find true friends and fulfill his cherished dreams. I liked this book. Reading this book will not be boring , after all , this is a fairy tale full of adventures. Of course the end is happy. So , I recommend everyone to read this book. It's worth your time.

Some days ago my English teacher organizer a lesson for my classmates and me:) We were talking about Ronald Dahl, one of the most famous authors!😍

I got know a lot about him as personality, about his life, etc, it inspired me to read some of his writings. I heard a lot about “Matilda”, so I decided to read it.

What can I tell u about this writing?🤔

First of all I consider that showing how cruel and unconcerned your close people can be was author’s good decision. Why? Because this problem still exists and children, teens should know that even if their families, relatives behave cruel and rude to them, there always will appear someone who will support and help.

Secondly, I enjoyed funny parts of the book😂 for example when Matilda wanted a revenge ‘cause of her torn book, it’s really funny.😆

Also I recommend u to watch a film🤩It’s amazing!✨

I loved those novels because they were easy to read, and full of interesting and funny actions and adventures.
I think that I prefered James and the giant peach in my childhood so now it stays my favorite Roald Dahl story. Just with the title of the novel, we can already see the amazing imagination and originality of the author ! It is a very funny story, with a lot of strange characters and events. When you are reading that book, you are really far from the reality and it's like a fantastic mind travel...

My favorite book (and movie) from Roald Dahl is Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. I really liked this book and the movie, because I found the story is fantastic and very interesting when you are a child (and even an adult ;) ) and also because this is the only story I’ve read about this artist.

Hello everyone students and colleagues. As a mum I watched a lot of movies about Roald Dahl stories with my children, and I enjoyed them a lot. As a teacher I sometimes made my students read some Dahl’s stories which are really gloomy, not exactly for children , and imbued with dark humour. ‘ A lamb to the Slaughter ‘ is one of them. May an innocent pregnant woman become a cunning murderer? If you happen to read , enjoy it.

the only movie that I've seen from Roald Dhal is Charlie and the chocolate factory. I think if I remember I ve saw it twice with my family. it's pretty funny and i really enjoyed it. The characters are just fabulous especially 🤬 wonka (one of my favorite) who was interperted by the actor johnny deep a great actor btw. Honnestly I didn't expect the end it was wonderful and full of emotions.

My favorite creation by Roald Dahl is "Charlie and the chocolate factory" (it's so original ; D) because I love chocolate (who doesn't like chocolate ?).
Seriously, the characters are so original and funny. This movie mat appeal to childrens and adults. THis film is a classic ! I recommend for you.

I have never read a book of Roald Dhal but I've seen the film adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I find this story very moving, Charly refuses the benefit to work in the Chocolate factory because he doesn't want to give up his family. This boy has real values, I think that the book as well as the film are good examples for a kid. In top of that, the film is really funny and fantastic !

My favorite Roald Dahl story is The BFG (short for The Big Friendly Giant). I have only seen the movie but I plan on reading the book soon. It's about an orphan girl who meets a giant. Most giants eat human flesh but this one is friendly and they become friends. I think it's a cute story about friendship and I would recommend it.

Because I'm just a basic dude, I'm just going to say that Charlie and the chocolate factory is my favorite Roald Dahl's piece of art. I've watched the movie countless times during my childhood, and the hidden meanings in the movie are very perceptive regarding the public that it tries to reach. Moreover, Tim Burton is a genius and one of the best director of whole time, so he really sublimed the original story written by Roald Dahl.

I never had the chance to read any Roald Dahl’s books but I watched some of the films based on his stories. My two favorites are 🤬 Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and also Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I love the music in these two movies and, when I was younger, I used to sing their song all the time. I have watched once or twice the film Matilda. I don’t remember the whole story however I recall disliking it because I was scared of the headmaster.

My favorite Roald Dahl book is THE WITCHES, because it's a book too funny that marked me a lot with the battle england's witches. I also like the BFG, MATHILDA, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLAT FACTORY, FANTASTIC MR.FOX and more... That I read during my childhood. All of these books are A M A Z I N G !!! Roald Dahl rocket me during my childhood, I read a lot of his books so many times with his beautiful universe !
I recommend you to read Roald Dahl even if you are older.
